"Inspired by the charm of old-school diners."
I would say "inspired by the high ceiling cafeteria of your local high school" is more fitting.
I know the place is new and it was a Sunday, but the basics weren't in place. Walked in to people standing in a line at a desk with no attendant. And no attendant came. After about 10 minutes we got sat, and about 10 minutes later we were acknowledged. Asked about the Wi-Fi password as the 3 year old wanted his tablet, to which we were told "he (the owner?) won't give it to us as he said it will make people hang around for too long."
Drinks came and was surprised to see that they used thimbles to serve coffee in. Must be an old school diner thing. Luckily food came quickly as we had already been there for about 45 minutes and watching another poor table of 2 adults and 2 children not being acknowledged for the 20 minutes they had been sitting was getting uncomfortable. The kids meal didn't show up, but it wasn't worth mentioning so we fed him off our plates. Food was basic fare, tough to mess up breakfast. The syrup was either from the dollar store, or was good syrup they mixed 50/50 with water to get more out of it. 60's diner must have used thin, watery syrup though. After sitting and having those waiting at the door stare at us for about an hour, it was time to go. We got a receipt that had no itemized list - just an amount to pay. Paid and left. We would have stayed for hours if we had the Wi-Fi password...

Read moreThe food unfortunately had no flavor, which was disappointing. I’m not usually one to complain, but I recommended this place to my friend since they had just opened, and I wanted to support them. My friend received her food and coffee, but our waitress never came back to check on her or see if she needed anything. When I arrived and joined my friend, she had to ask another employee to call our waitress over so I could finally place my order. After I ordered, the waitress kept saying “five more minutes,” then came back again saying “another five minutes.” In total, I waited around 30 minutes for my food. When the bill came, I asked if we could split it, and the waitress said “no” directly to my face which felt very unprofessional. I mentioned that I work in customer service, and that’s not how you speak to guests. When I brought this up to the manager, he explained that their system doesn’t allow separate checks, which I completely understand but there are better ways to communicate that to customers.Overall, I wanted to like this place, but between the lack of flavor, slow service, and poor communication, the experience was...
Read moreFirst off, I want to note the staff was great. Very friendly. Sunday at 12:15, the diner was a bit busy. Five minute wait to be seated, pretty normal. Waitress was very friendly taking our order. Our food did not arrive for almost 40 minutes. I did ask if our order was missed, the waitress said they had a big party, but I did not see a big party in the diner. By the time we got our food most of the diner had cleared out. We both ordered omelets, very delicious, but not 40 minute delicious. The home fries were awful. Saltiest I have ever had. Inedible. I actually commented to the waitress how bad they were, she told me she would tell the cook. I'm not sure if I will return. We only tried the diner today because our go to place, Alice's Last Stop, was closed for vacation. I know they have not been open long, but they need to work on order speed and decreasing that salt. One final point, price was a little higher than expected, portions a little...
