This is a 2 fold review.
If you’re going to buy an appliance, I suggest you check if Eric will be there before your arrival as he seems to be the one who really cares. When I went in with an emergency on a Wednesday morning, the people working really didn’t want to sell an appliance and it seemed an extreme inconvenience to go out of their way to get any additional information I needed. They were unaware of the processes and made promises that could not be kept after telling me to go to a different retailer, as they didn’t really want to help with what I needed. When it came to my attention that there was an error that would have prevented the proper fulfillment of my order in the manner I was promised, I called the on duty store manager Alisha, instead of apologizing or trying to understand the situation she immediately jumped down my throat saying I didn’t know what I was talking about, that nobody told me the specific delivery details, that I didn’t pay for a specific delivery window of 4 hours just a general window. When I asked for a number to speak to someone higher up she refused and my concern was the appliance sitting in my driveway in Taunton unattended and not having proper storage of my medication in a timely manner and I suggested that it would become an issue for the store if those things were to happen due to her refusal to assist me she accused me of threatening her and said she doesn’t need to talk to someone like me and hung up the phone. I later got a call back from Eric who went above and beyond to try and help and escalated the situation. Called multiple people and though he couldn’t ensure any changes in the issue he did manage to help us get rid of the fee Alicia didn’t even offer to waive and lightened the situation with his kindness and knowledge. His notes made it possible for the delivery company to become informed early in the morning enough to alter their route to help me with a timely delivery that aligned with the third party I had to pay in advance to bring the appliance to the second floor of my home.
If you plan on buying any big ticket items from this store make sure Scott is the manager who is your point of contact and avoid Alicia...
Read moreDid an online order. The store called us and made a cluster @#$& of the order and the process. We went in to pick up the order. "Dave" at the desk gave us what they had. Then said they would ship is the rest, he said the charge would be added for the delivery to the house. Not what I asked for, I wanted to pick it up at the store and asked to have it shipped to the store. Then he said they couldn't fill the whole order because they don't have one of the items I needed (even though the web site said it was there). I asked when he would get one. He said we don't do special orders. But said another store has it, according to the website. I asked if he could call them and have sent to this store. Said he couldn't do that. Then I asked if he could call and see if was actually there, he said he couldn't do that. Ugh, then I said cancel the order being shipped to me. He said he would, then came back I can't it's already being processed. Then said he would cancel the charge, then said (in the same breath) it would be easier for you to do it?? WTH. Suppose to arrive in one week, it had taken 2. Brought it to returns, didn't even open the box and the first question from the person behind the desk was there anything wrong with it. Read moreWalked into the store with the intention of returning thermostats of which I had my receipt for 2, the other 2 were older models. I was stopped at the door by greeter, who was very nice, I explained I was not sure I was going to return them - (as I changed my mind about the return as I walked in the door) and that I was going to purchase others. I went to the register with 4 other more expensive thermostats to purchase. Cashier asked to look in my bag and wanted to look at receipt. I obliged...she was new...The receipt was for more thermostats than were in the bag, clearly I was not intending to return all of them. I explained that I spoke with greeter near customer service. She proceeds to call customer service who knows nothing of my convo with greeter. Time is passing I now feel like she thinks I stole the thermostats. Line is growing, she's still trying to get someone to confirm I walked in the door with the bag. I left my merchandise behind. This store needs to train employees better or come up with something new for loss & prevention. Spoke with mgr. store policy is to check bags & receipts and make customers feel like thieves.
