The vibe of this restaurant is cute and cozy so we decided to sit at the hightops in the bar section as it was quiet and only one person at the bar. Bad idea for multiple reasons - the bartender shouted over to us to get our drink orders which I was horrified by considering she had an empty bar - very unprofessional and felt as if we were bothering her by sitting in her section. The hostess was the one who came to take our order after we waited some decent time with our menus put down off to the side to show we were ready. She seemed very young and nervous like she hasn't taken orders before. Maybe she was training. She was very sweet but I had to remind her I wanted fried not grilled in my fish tacos. I didn't want her to have to come back to ask me. I asked for a Sangria but I def received a Sangarita - while it was delicious I wasn't looking to drink tequila. Our food was so good! Very big compliments to the chef as this was the only good experience from last night's visit. #2 While we were eating we were surrounded by fruit flies. It was a major turnoff to come back even though the food was delicious. #3 The bartender never gave us the time of day. Our food was checked on by a gentleman that came out of the back about 3/4 way through our dinners. Our check with our cards to pay sat on the edge of the table for a good half hour before the gentleman came to collect it. I was ready to leave and say well you don't want to take my money?? Again the restaurant was EMPTY so zero excuses there. I can be understanding if the staff is overwhelmed but looked like the bartender had her friend sitting at the bar and their conversation was more important. Again I don't think I'll be back. Kudos to the chef again for...
Read moreThis restaurant was good for the first time. The food and drinks were tasty. I love the chips and salsa. The guacamole was good too. I ordered the steak Fajitas. They came out sizzling hot and were delicious. They do need to give you more Tortilla shells for the steak. The service on the other hand was questionable. I gave it 3 stars because It was the end of the night and were about to close in a few, so I would have to go back again around normal business hours to see if the service was always like that, or if they were just ready to go home. The lady who comes to clean the tables off AFTER everyone eats was very aggressive. She was attempting to clean off the table when people were still eating. Not just the unused stuff set aside, but the plates and silverware you were using. I just thought it was that table next to us because it was a big group. NOPE! She was trying to take the tray that had her flight drinks on it. The drinks weren't even finished or set aside. She was taking the bowls and plates that still had food in them, not asking if we wanted a box for them. She was trying to take everything and I thought she was going to take the fork right out of our mouths, as we were eating. We all just laughed and said to ourselves. "She really wants to go home". The building is strange because it still looks like the olive garden but with a twist of Mexican flavor. Our server was nice and polite. She is the reason I gave service and extra star instead of 2 stars. The prices were good for the amount of food you get. I will most definitely come back. I love...
Read moreBeing from the south west, it has been extremely difficult to find truly authentic Mexican food in Mass, and FINALLY I found a place that brings me closer to home. The food is really good and tastes just like my mom would make it. I really wish they would also provide you a side of salsa, because that's all that it was missing 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
The biggest con of this place is the customer service. I ordered online and when I arrived, the staff ignored me and pretended not to acknowledge me. They kept walking back and forth, and the place wasn't even full, even if they were "busy" - a quick "we will be right with you" would have been sufficient. When someone did finally acknowledge me, a random guy with a polo shirt asked me my name, and me thinking he was going to get my food - walked away into the kitchen then came out and looked really clueless and tried not acknowledge me anymore. He kept walking back and forth into the kitchen and towards the bar. Really he could have said, "I'll get your food." Or "they're still working on it." He wasn't a server and seemed more like a "supervisor/manager" type. Several minutes later, as I was about to say something another girl comes out and asks me if I'm here to pick up and realizes that my food was just behind the counter ready to go. She was the only competent person there. The biggest downfall to this place will be their customer service, and it's such a shame because the food is...
