Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Taunton

It's a discount store, so you get what you pay for, but the online system works one way and the staff works another way. "Ship to store" orders usually show up in 5-6 days, they say, but can take up to 14, so when you're a patient person and only finally call about your order 17 days later, you get so very rudely told that despite it being 3 days later than their listed maximum time it's too early and to wait longer. Then when you call another week later (and luckily get someone that does their job) you learn your order has been ready for so long they've thrown a ton of stuff on top of it because no one checked it in for the system to send the email to notify you that your order is actually ready, nor any follow-up on late orders, or late...

This particular Ocean State Job Lot is a really nice store (i.e. it's very clean and well organized); they have tons of really good stuff at very fair prices. Clothes, seasonal stuff, hardware (batteries, tools, lightbulbs, etc.), home goods, food - most everything "Walfart" has (albeit on a smaller scale of course) without supporting the evil price rollback empire. Whenever I need some odd thing I go here first, as they also carry all that cool "oddball" merchandise that you just don't seem to find anywhere else. I love job lot, but this one has been more and more disorganized each time I visit lately. The crazy deal food table never seems to ring up correctly, so check out takes ages.
