Beto's Mexican Food on 54th — Restaurant in Taylorsville

I had started to buy rolled tacos from this place at night for the Hispanic janitorial lady from my job who would ask me to get her lunch since she worked nights as well. Since I’m a white guy I would go in drive through around midnight or past midnight as I was driving the company car, and I would place the order. Last week they forgot to add guacamole. I got back at the company and gave the Hispanic lady her food. She told me they forgot to add guacamole. The night after I went back and told the Hispanic ladies at Rancheritos to make sure they would add the guacamole. They told me I was wrong and that they had put it in the box . I told them that the very reason mentioned it was exactly because they had not put any guacamole sauce. The week after I went back to pick up food for the Hispanic co worker lady. I paid and got the box. This time I thought: I’m gonna double check to see if they forgot the guacamole again. I was right. I opened the box lifted the rolled tacos and there was just a smear / trace of guacamole on one taco, the rest was just cheese and lettuce. I told the Hispanic woman in drive through. She told me to give her box back . She brought it back . I took it and opened it . Inside she had put the guacamole sauce and threw the napkins and hot sauce plastic boxes into the guacamole sauce inside the take out box!! I looked in shock at what she did . I called back at the window and asked her why did they do that. She said that put the napkins and the hot sauce boxes inside the take out box. I asked her : how did the guacamole sauce get under the napkins?? She stopped and realized she was caught in a big lie and made herself look dumb. She asked for the box back and brought it back to me after 5 min. I did not tell her that was the lunch for another of her co nationals , meaning the Hispanic janitorial lady from my job. She didn’t even apologize probably thinking that it was a good way to treat me like that cuz I’m a white guy. I took the lunch to my job and gave it to the Hispanic lady and told her what I had to deal with at this Mexican food place. She was embarrassed and said some of the people that are from her country were raised like that to be ignorant, spiteful and downright disgusting women. Unfortunately I have to agree with her. Those women working at night at this Mexican place are low life and disgusting people for how they treat customers. I just mentioned these things to some of the Hispanic guys at my job. Two of them told me right away they have friends that know the 2 Hispanic women that work at night at that location and that those employees even bragged to their friends that they spit in the food of customers that complain….. !!! That is sick!!! Thank God I never ate food from that dump!!! I feel bad for Hispanic coworker lady that I bought food for. Hope she...

I went yesterday afternoon on my lunch break because a friend had said that this place was super good. I got my food I got a burrito and 3 tacos. I ate my burrito and then went back to work. I later took out my tacos to eat them and noticed that there was a fish taco mixed in with my steak tacos. I couldn’t call while I was at work but I later called to let them know what had happened. The girl was super apologetic and nice and just took my name and number and said I could come at anytime and they would give me my correct order of tacos. I am allergic to fish so I am just glad I noticed. When I went back the next day and told them, they just kept saying I had to bring the food with me. I said I was never told that and had thrown it away. They then went on to say I don’t remember you from yesterday when did you come? I told them and then pointed to the person who had actually checked me out(the person who was at the window today wasn’t even the one who had been yesterday) in the drive through. She came up and I could tell she remembered me. She then started to say well whoever told you isn’t a manager we won’t be able to do that or give you a refund. I never asked for a refund. I said they need to tell whoever answers the phone that policy. They kept looking at me with dirty looks. When they finally brought up my tacos (I had asked for no pico or guacamole, I hadn’t asked for anything else to be taken off..Ie cilantro but all I got back was steak) they hadn’t it to me and said sorry very curtly and then shut the window. Yes, they finally gave me tacos and consented because I stayed put. I will never go back and I am super bummed because I really enjoyed the burrito and probably would have enjoyed the tacos. What’s funny is I realized later that I never received the flan that I had ordered either but I didn’t mentioned it on the phone (to be honest I forgot about the flan until I pulled up to the window and saw the picture of it and then of course I remembered) so I actually didn’t say anything about it because they had been so rude. Pretty sure they have new people... the 2 wonderful ladies that are normally there at the window aren't anymore; we knew 1 of them wouldn't be because she was going back home for a while, but our other lady we hardly ever see anymore... we've been coming to this location for years, and consistantly, but the new woman that works the window is rude and doesn't make sure the order is correct, in accordance to what we paid for, because of this we've been asking her to double check, and we are met with an attitude, and when we get our order it isn't what we paid for, we usually order EXTRA cheese and EXTRA beans on our bean and cheese burritos we get, which there never is, the burritos we get are the size of a child's burritos. I am tired of fighting for what we paid for, we aren't asking for anything more than what we are owed, then for whatever reason they like to put SOUR CREAM on my burrito when I never ordered that, and we end up having to drive all the way back to get it fixed; our lady would always communicate with the cooks and make sure we got what we paid for, and because of that, we always made sure onto leave a healthy tip, we do not tip anymore because the lady at the window is rude and hates her job, it seems. We come to this location at least 2 times a week, and we haven't been, because of her, and now after tonight's visit, we are taking our business elsewhere, altogether.
