Los Rancheros — Restaurant in Taylorville

I tried to place an order to go and was left on hold for over 20 minutes so I decided to go up and order at the resturant. I walked in and told the host who promptly apologized then asked a waitress "Sam" to help me, she was rude would not even look up and acknowledge me then said not very nicely its gonna be a minute. I also have waited tables and managed resturants so I understand it gets busy but to be , for lack of a better word, a brat to your customers is not the way to keep customers coming back. No wonder this place is not busy on a regular basis, you should teach your staff that customers are who pay the bills and how about just being nice. Not a lot to ask for. Last time I was there the waitress was awful. We were very patient with her until she continued to mess up our orders. We then explained her mess ups because we didn’t want to get charged for something we didn’t order. When it was time to check out our tickets were a mess. We paid our tickets and she asked us if we wanted changed back. I said yes, I want change back because there is a 17% gratuity charge already on my bill. She told my I was rude. The manager overheard and literally put his hands on me and tried pushing me out the door and threatening the cops on me. Had not been to Los Rancheros for 5 years. Looked forward to eating there while I was in the area. The service was outstanding, love the atmosphere of the place. However, the food was not as good as it use to be. They had the best guacamole around, don't know if the recipe has changed or it was a bad day. It did not have the flavor it did before. It tasted very bland this time. The salsa was not the quality it once was either. I had the shrimp chimichanga, the shrimp were very rubbery. I could have just picked the wrong day.
