Like a beautiful pebble on a beach of the same old uninteresting rocks, this hidden gem is a wonderful independent motel built in the hay day of transportation. It is reminiscent of those motels of the 50's, but has kept up with the times, unlike some other motels of it's era. Nick, the owner has been pleasing travelers for almost 30 years at this family owned and operated location. His caring for his guest's needs is his priority, and drives his passion to make them as comfortable as possible. Attention to detail and thinking outside the box can be seen in some of the ways he has updated this piece of Americana. Each bathroom has brand new floor tile and ergonomic toilets, along with a microwave and fridge in the room. He offers a variety of beds with different levels of comfort to help accommodate his guest's sleeping needs. For those with larger families or groups, he has larger rooms with multiple beds. This keeps people from being separated and saves on multiple rooms. In addition to all this, the rooms are clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This might not sound like much, but in my stays in motels lately, and with what you see on the news about unclean motel rooms, bed bugs, etc. This place is a breath of fresh air (along with a pleasant fragrance ). I would invite you to stay. It is a wonderful place and Nick and his family would love to have you.
Just make sure to leave a room for me, the next time I am in town.
UPDATE 1-29-23. The pebble has been polished and is gleaming. They have updated the rooms and the sign, (Now Economy Inn) but the owners and their hospitality haven't changed at all. I believe that if their ideas for their motel were copied all over the country, this world would be a...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a clean place don’t stop here. Housekeeping won’t do much and you’re lucky if they do anything without going to the desk and asking. We only need a single room for 3 weeks while moving- job transfer. Stayed 1 night was glad I didn’t pay anymore than that a head. The couch in my room was filthy. My bath towels had holes / worn spots in them. The desk drawer had stale tobacco in it. My dresser had a open bag of chips. On my husband’s side of the bed there was a box of white castles frozen burgers molded. You can’t get ice after the office closes. My floor was dirty. We slept on top of our bed because my sheets were worn & dirty. Telling the front desk got a “will fix it”- never seen them after that. I feared bed bugs so I kept everything in my car and showered again at the Super 8 after leaving. My shower was a homemade remodel that wouldn’t fit all sizes. Water didn’t reach my legs or butt. The shower head was like one you’d find at a campground. They allow methheads and hookers to live there. The girls next to our room said they’d lived there a month. Traffic and noise all night. Super 8 is clean...
Read moreThis was my second visit and I have to say it was as great a visit as my last time. Mr. Patel checked me into my room and I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered me, I checked into room 40. The room was spotless super clean and had an actual sofa I could lay down in. The room smelled fresh and bed was comfy. Mr. Patel called just to make sure everything was to my liking I was a bit hungry so I asked for his suggestion for a place to eat and he pointed me to a mexican restaurant called "Los Rancheros" and it had great food. As the day came to a close got introduced to Mr. Patels' wife Urvi she is such a sweet person with a great personality and priceless smile. I love the level of attention to detail and putting guest first as a priority which goes above and beyond. This will definitely be one of my favorite places to stay while visiting friends in this area. Thank you so much for making me feel welcomed and at home. I will definitely...
