Pleasant, convenient lunch. My partner and I decided to lunch here on our way to Knoxville. There are not a tremendous selection of restaurants in this area. If you choose the take out options, there are even fewer choices. Due to the extreme Covid cases rising in this area, my partner and I didn't want to dine inside. Therefore, since we have visited this McDonald's location several times, we opted for the drive thru service and dining in the car. The look and experience at this McDonald's is generally the same you would have at any McDonald's across America. Both exterior and interior of the building have been renovated and remodeled recently. This location now features the double lane drive thru, which we find to be somewhat slower at this location. The drive thru staff is always very friendly and polite. Our order was correct, served fresh and hot! Both of us enjoyed the new crispy chicken sandwich and bottled water, now becoming our favorite meal at McDonald's. I highly recommend this sandwich, it is delicious! Crispy chicken filet on toasted bun with pickles. I also like the packaging/wrap with this sandwich, keeping it nice and hot! We both had the basic version of this sandwich, but you may upgrade and add other toppings to make it a deluxe. Of course, this McDonald's location serves all the traditional, iconic, favorite sandwiches and items you love. Consistently McDonald's is key here; you know the menu and you know what to expect. This location, like most McDonald's locations, is very popular! Be prepared for long lines of vehicles in the drive thru lanes. If you're in the Tazewell area and have a craving for McDonald's, this location will definitely deliver a consistent, efficient, familiar experience.
UPDATE: November 15, 2024. No changes at this location. As always, VERY,...
Read moreIts normal for fast food places to get stuff wrong every now and then anyone who has worked in fast food before understands this. However its a pretty frequent thing here that wrong stuff comes out or just not at all as well as hair in people's food. It had never happened to me before I had just heard about it several times but had always givin the benefit of the doubt until yesterday, my wife had gotten a double cheeseburger that had 3 medium to long blondish red/brown hairs in it so I called and they offered to replace it illegal couldn't make it down there yesterday so I came down today and instead of being nice about it the lady I talked to over the phone was rude and acted like I was one of these crackheads that are around this town and I had insuated that I would like more food to compensate their mess up that I had to drive back down here and eat McDonald's two days In a row wich I hate eating anyway (i just eat here because its cheap, fast, and my wife likes it) because over the years McDonald's as a whole has went downhill and all I got was "so just a doublecheese". I have worked almost every position possible from lowest crew level to upper management and the lack of caring that there is hair in someone's food with half the people you have working there looking like they are strung out on god knows would be absolutely unacceptable under any good management. Im not trying to be a Karen or be rude or anything but if they don't care about regular customers that give them business consistently then they should not be working i get it they don't pay much its hard to care when your scraping the barrel to make ends meet but get aanother job if you can't care because of the business and don't make the customers be...
Read moreMy fiance placed a mobile order for a shareable meal including a 40 Piece Nugget and Two Medium Fries. She added a Large Coke and a Large Diet Coke as well as a McFlurry. Once she gets home, thirty minutes away from the store, she realizes that they shorted us a 10 Piece Nugget (where the 40 is actually four boxes of 10) and her Diet Coke was a Regular Coke. I called the store and explained to them what happened and I wasn't really upset about the nuggets but the Coke was a big deal to me. She is a diabetic and had she not have realized it could have ended in a major glucose issue and in the worse case scenario, a hospital visit. I simply asked the manager on duty to replace the entire meal minus the McFlurry simply for the hassle of having to not enjoy a full meal, the hour drive to get back there, and the major issue of potentially damaging someones body. He put me on hold, came back and told me, "Unfortunately I can't do that because my bosses would not be very happy." That was his exact words. It blew my mind. I'm still going to eat McDonalds because I like it, but this response is not only unprofessional but shows that McDonald's management, or at least this manager in particular, puts the happiness of his managers/bosses over the customers. It's amazing that a mistake as big as giving a diabetic a regular coke isn't worth what little food it would take to replace the order out of consideration for the drive and lack of food we got. In his defense, he did offer to replace the single ten piece and coke but his response just left a horrible test in my mouth and for this location in particular. As well as McDonald's management as a whole...
