Five Star Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Teaneck Township

My mother in law was recently in Teaneck hospital so we looked for a quick bite to eat in the area and came across this place.. She got a basic hot ham and cheese and I got what was supposed to be an Italian sandwich. I asked for a round roll and the cook gave it to me on a long roll, now everyone knows an Italian is Ham, Salami, and Provolone, well when I get my sandwich I take a good look at it and it seems a little off. I look at the "salami" and I said this meat looks a weird color and its greasy. I asked the cook if he heated the salami and he said he had to a little bit?? But how if I asked for a COLD sandwich? To my knowledge it was Taylor ham!!!!! So I place the sandwich at the end of the counter for the waitress to take and he tells her don't worry I know those type of people, they like to complain. Oh really what are "those" type of people? 😂 I told him "key to a good restaurant is giving the customers what they want, not what you want". We were regular customers until this happen.... One day, Saturday to be exact we ordered breakfast to go. We ordered a good amount of food and drinks and since we were regular customers we never thought we would have an issue. So we ordered our food and clearly mention ice coffe regular milk and no sugar when I got the order went to the car and drink the coffee it was sweet so I went back and asked to be change since I don't do sugar. The lady who I belive is the owner gave me an attitude like I wasn't paying for my order. I told her that I need my ice coffee no sugar and she didn't want to change it ending saying I don't have ice anymore. I see the bag of ice there and she said that is for another order.. I may be a bit biased, seeing the frequency I go here, but this is honestly the best breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot in this area. The staff are quick to converse with you, no matter if you're a regular or not, and they seem to know exactly when you need a refill on your coffee.
