I ordered online here the other night. Food was extremely delicious and we spent over $80 on our dishes which included two platters, a gyro sandwich, tyrokafteri, and tiropitakia.
The only negative I would have to say would be receiving spanakopita instead of the tiropitakia and only finding this out after I had taken a bite out of this. When we called asking to “exchange” the spanakopita for the tiropitakia, she had told us we actually aren’t exchanging anything because they didn’t have it and the man at the front was supposed to tell us this but must have been busy. I would have appreciated if they had called me prior to let me know they were out of the tiropitakia so that I could have a refund instead of just replacing it with spanakopita as I did not want this.
But despite this, food was great and large portions. Fries seem to be homemade and tasty even though I ordered to go. Pita bread was soft and brushed with herbs on top. The salad to go along with the platters was larger than expected and one of the best Greek salads I have had. I would like to come try this place again despite the hiccup I experienced with...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. WOW. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. My family hosted a recent event at Nisiotis Taverna and to say that our experience was incredible would be an understatement! The staff was so warm and attentive. The owner & his family were all so kind and really made sure each guest felt catered to and welcome! The vibe of the restaurant was so cute & I loved that they had an outdoor section on the deck, which was so relaxing now that the weather is getting warmer. The food was insanely delicious and tasted like I was eating true authentic food made in Greece. You can tell the chef put love into each and every dish he made! The french fries were made fresh, peeled, and cut in the back, the Horiatiki was to die for, I couldve finished the whole dish on my own. Not pictured-the hummus & pita which I actually DID finish the whole dish on my own! So incredible my mouth is watering just looking back at these photos, even after eating the leftovers that I brought home. I cant wait to visit again, next time I am in New Jersey!...
Read moreLet me put you into my headspace after eating at Nisiotis Taverna with this experience… imagine walking through Greece, someone pulls you into their home and their grandmother brings you out the largest freshest Greek food you’ve ever had. Fresh calamari, insanely fresh fried zucchini and eggplant. The tzatziki for dipping was out of world for this appetizer. After eating these incredible apps, we order our main course. We ordered two Souvlaki’s (chicken and lamb). The chicken was seasoned perfectly. The lamb was tender and had a slight smoke from the grill. After devouring all of this food, the server came over and asked if we wanted dessert. Me being a fat boy, my answer is obviously yes! Once I told the server I couldn’t have either of the desserts they have (sidebar, I have a nut allergy) the server told me don’t worry, I’ll make you something with extra nuts! He brought out a delicate, fresh, flaky dessert that hit the spot. This restaurant went above and beyond expectations. We will definitely be...
