It breaks my heart to leave this review but after years of coming here on our annual trip to the smokies finally had a bad experience here. We drove across the Cherohala to get the delicious pizza with all the benton meats, a beer, and stock up on bakery goods for the trip home. When we walked in there was one couple at the cashier ordering so I got in line behind them. After we arrived a few other people rolled in and the other employee started helping everyone that had been lining up(noticing that she went went roght past us). I waited patiently as I knew my turn was coming when that couple finished I stepped forward and the cashier told me to wait to check out the people that were in the line. I jokingly asked the other employee had I done something wrong and that's why she was ignoring me. Her response, " the line wraps around there (and pointed)" welp, when I walked in there was no line... also there was no signage saying a line forms there... and it shows that she knew I was standing there waiting and she purposely ignored me. We always stop in here for the tasty food and to support the owner as they are from Michigan our home state. But this was a complete miss! If you prefer to serve only locals or locals first please put up signage stating that so I can at least expect to be completely ignored. When you are caught ignoring us at least an apology would have been appreciated. We left immediately without buying anything and went somewhere else for lunch. * Warning if not a local expect to be ignored and...

Every visit to Tellico, my first stop after landing and my last stop before driving back to the airport is Tellico Grains Bakery.

Although they usually have baked goods left at the end of the day, most of the specialty items go quick since they are baked fresh each day, so try to get there early.

The staff is always so friendly and patient (it can be hard for me to choose between sweets).

I’ve tried most of the sandwiches and they’re all amazing. The fresh bread really makes it! My go to is usually the Joe’s Italian or the tuna salad. Great portions and for the value the quality is there.

I tried a pizza for the first time today and this has to be the best pizza I’ve had anywhere in Tennessee. Thin crispy but also has a slight chewiness to the dough. Again, very fresh and quality ingredients. I don’t know how it took me so many visits to try one.

You can’t go wrong with any of their baked good, I’ve never had something I didn’t like. I usually go for a specialty danish and their cookies.

Maybe I missed it from getting there too late but I would love to see more breakfast options like quiche, bagels, etc. and iced coffee :)

Keep up the amazing work and I’ll see you in...

I am SOOO incredibly sad when this bakery closes for the winter season. Boy when it does come back for spring and summer though… you best bet that I try to make it every year. There are always lines out the door when I come and there’s a reason for it. Their service here is immaculate. They always make sure your food is fresh and they’re just all around good people. Secondly, every single thing I’ve tried here is just delicious. They have a BLT sandwich here that is to die for!! They also have this homemade garlicy type bread they sell and my mom LOVES it. It’s practically become a tradition of hers to go every summer and buy a loaf to kick off the season. If those aren’t up your alley for any reason they have plenty of other varieties of foods like salads, pizzas, and a gorgeous array of pastries sitting out front behind glass that will make your mouth water to just look at. If you’re a local like me you already know how good this place is. If you’re a traveler just stopping in and you see this review.. spend the money! They’re a small business so you’re helping out the community and they’re an amazing...

Located in a convenient spot in downtown Tellico Plains, this Bakery is truly a wonderful place. When I first walked in, my eyes were immediately drawn to the pastries behind the glass. Then I saw the prices! You can purchase hand-sized pastures for about $3.50. This is a great price for something made in a specialty bakery. There are giant cookies, small pies, brownies, muffins, and many more different things. When it comes to the main food options there is pizza and sandwiches. There are many, many kinds of these that are displayed. If they don’t have what you want on the display/menu, they can special make it for you. The prices for the sandwiches are a little more pricy at about $10 each. They also have drinks such as sweet tea, coffee, and soft drinks. The staff here are so friendly and helpful! Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a small town vibe and a happy environment. Tip: Arrive here in off-hours as it can be very busy. (when I visited here some people had to stand outside in a line to get into the bakery) Get here at times between meals.

A must-visit hidden gem in Tellico Plains! Tellico Grains Bakery completely stole my heart (and my sweet tooth)! The variety here is unmatched — from flaky danishes and loaded scones to cheesecake slices and giant cookies stacked like towers. Every single treat looks homemade with care and tastes even better than it looks. Favorites? The cheesecake brownie was rich and fudgy, the carrot cake muffins were topped with the creamiest frosting and crunchy walnuts, and the espresso chocolate ganache cupcake was a decadent dream. The fresh strawberry shortcakes in the fridge case? Absolutely divine. The cozy, rustic vibe inside and the smell of fresh bread made it impossible not to linger. You can tell this place is loved by locals and travelers alike — and for good reason. If you’re passing through Tellico Plains or exploring nearby, do yourself a favor and stop here. Grab a box… or two!

My wife and I ate there twice in a couple of days. Once after eating at a cafe that was mediocre, we went there for desert and I got the peach turnover. It was great. We then realized they served pizza and sandwiches. We went back to eat a couple of days later. We ordered a pizza and I had a Rueben. The pizza was very good and so was the Reuben. The pizza was thin crust, my favorite. The pastries that we tried, besides the peach turnover, were all good also. The ambiance was very nice. Wish it were closer to my home in Louisiana. We had shopped around for a place to eat in that town and no place had any real crowd at noon, but that bakery did. My guess it is the best place to eat in town, though the menu is limited to pizza and sandwiches that I know. Would gladly go back there again. It was great.
