The Tellico Plains Inn and Event Venue was established in 1916! This historic, beautiful old inn has been completely renovated. It has an old feel with completely modern comforts. It is now a charming modernized eight-bedroom inn, completely remodeled bathrooms and a living room or common area for you and your friends or guests to visit. Five of the bedrooms have 1 King Bed, 2 of the bedrooms have 2 twin beds each, and lastly 1 bedroom has a King and a Futon. It feels like you’re in a home with all the comforts of an inn. One feature of the Tellico Plains Inn that you must not miss is the Event Venue. The charming Event Room is set up and ready for you to host your next gathering whether it be a shower, reception, birthday party, meeting, a church gathering, or a wedding. A lot of activities are available during this Christmas season in this quaint, little town located in the foothills of the Unicoi Mountains. (Check the Facebook page for more information.) You can walk two doors down to the famed artisan bakeshop, the Tellico Grains Bakery. Close by are several unique shops – both for the ladies and for the sportsman, all within walking distance. There is so much to do and see in this area. If you love the outdoors, take a drive on the beautifully scenic Cherohala Skyway, go hiking, hunting, or fishing on one of over 300 miles of wild and native trout streams. And don’t miss one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Eastern United States, Bald River Falls. There is something for everyone in the area around the Tellico Plains Inn and Event Venue. Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or a vacation, this is going to become a popular place to be. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a few day getaway to Tellico. Definitely will be back!! Very easy to get to. Close to everything. Good places to eat close by. We didn't get to eat at the bakery just because we were up and gone out earlier than it opened. We felt really safe here!! Loved the house and it's set up. We stayed in the Babcock room. Very nicely done!! Absolutely beautiful. Loved the decorations! Snacks and coffee out front. Even ice out front if you need it. Coffee and waters in the rooms. Hair dryer. Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash all in the luxurious fantastic shower if you need it! Close to the Cherohala Skyway! Traffic wasn't bad even in the morning at school rush hour for where we went to early am. Would highly recommend! Great communication with the owners. The Inn keeper was great as well! I do wish I'd have seen the Inn cat though!! I missed my two. The Inn keeper told us about him but I never seen him. Book with them...no fees etc!! (Like certain sights) We will be back!! Great place to stay! Thank you!!

The Tellico Plains Inn is a fantastic gateway to the Smoky Mountains without the crowds and chaos of the resort destinations. The hotel is over 100 years old and is ideally placed to put you within steps of the historic city center. There you'll find fantastic restaurants, bakeries, and even a brewery. The hotel itself has a lot of charm while providing modern conveniences. Most of the rooms are upstairs, and some of the rooms have detached bathrooms. When one factors in the historic nature of the inn, the cross-hall bathrooms become no big deal. My group and I had motorcycle trailers for a day of running the Cherohola Skyway and Tail of the Dragon. Needless to say, it was easy to park the vehicles and trailers alongside the inn. The new concrete parking in the back was perfect for our bikes and cars. When considering a weekend or the start of a glorious moto trip, one can hardly do better than to start or base your adventure at The Tellico Plains Inn. I will be returning very soon!

My husband, two fellow BMW motorcycle enthusiasts, and I recently enjoyed a delightful evening at The Tellico Plains Inn during our journey to ride the Cherohala Skyway, with our ultimate destination being in North Carolina. While we typically patronize another motorcycle-friendly hotel, this year they required a minimum two-night stay. Upon reaching out to The Tellico Plains Inn, I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, John, who assured us of their motorcycle-friendly policy and waived any minimum stay requirements. Encouraged by this, we promptly booked our rooms and were thoroughly impressed by our experience. The inn, a charmingly refurbished establishment, exuded modern yet cozy ambiance. Its strategic location was ideal, sparing us the need for further rides once we had unpacked our gear. John kindly recommended nearby dining options for both dinner and breakfast, introducing us to the culinary delights of the area. And the comfort of the beds... dreamy! Of all the highlights of our stay, meeting Sherryl, another member of the inn's staff, stands out the most. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, attending to details like the safety of our motorcycles, providing ice and glassware for an impromptu happy hour in the inviting living room, complete with a delightful fireplace. Sherryl even graciously escorted me to the inn's lovely event space at the rear and introduced me to her feline companion, Nigel, who, while charming, was strictly an outdoor resident. The inn boasted tasteful decor both indoors and out, with rocking chairs thoughtfully placed on the front and side porches. Making reservations was a breeze, with John promptly sending confirmations via text and email, complete with all necessary information. His thoughtful follow-up text expressing gratitude for our stay further underscored the exceptional level of customer service we received. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Tellico Plains Inn to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, proximity to eateries, and outstanding value paired with exemplary customer service. It was truly a memorable experience that exceeded our...

What a gem!! The beautiful craftsmanship of this lovely Inn is warm and cozy and so inviting. Our room was quite large and lovely with an elegant touch and the charm of yesteryear. The bed! Oh my gosh, the KING size bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in besides my own!

This extraordinary Inn is not only a piece of history and nostalgia, it instantly felt like home. Plus, it is located next to the best bakery I have ever been to, and I have lived in Europe!

Lastly, the personal touches with the cloth shopping bag, water bottles, and ample towels – especially for makeup - was icing on the cake. If you’re looking to feel pampered and special and you love history, this is the place to stay. Plus, it is exceptionally clean!!

Do yourself a favor and book a room! Enjoy the rocking chairs on the front porch, the main seating area which feels like a living room and naturally welcomes you to get to know others who are staying in the Inn as well.

On a scale of 10/10, The Tellico Plains Inn is on a scale of its own. We will definitely...
