Can't say enough great things about Tellico Outfitters! My wife and I just moved to eastern Tennessee and we were looking for ways to get to better know the area for its fishing, camping and hiking opportunities. We were fortunate that we discovered Tellico Outfitters in Tellico Plains. We recently completed a guided fishing day trip with them and WOW, what a great day it was! Everything from the booking to the last cast went flawlessly. Cody in the shop and our guide Micah in the field made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. The shop has a great assortment of quality gear and they set us up with everything we needed. Within an hour, we were up in the Cherokee National Forest in the water catching beautiful rainbows. Micah is not only a great guide but also a great guy. I hadn't fly fished for decades and it was my wife's first time. Micah took the time and had the patience to work with us as we learned of Tellico Outfitter's techniques and presentations for catching Tellico River trout! 5 stars for many reasons. First, I forgot my reel in Massachusetts and Cody was nice enough to let me rent a reel for the day and give me some great pointers given that I knew nothing about the river. Second, we were able to last minute book a half day guided trip with Micah for the next morning without a problem.

Knowledgeable friendly staff. Always helpful and willing to point you in the right direction for some fish. They always know what’s hatching and what fish are feeding whether it be wilds or stocked fish. Unlike many fly shops I’ve been to, Cody and his staff willing talk to you and help you even if your not dropping $300 on gear. Many other shops employees interaction with you seems to be dependent upon what you’re willing to spend. Not these guys!
