Read moreI discovered Osaka House Ramen & Sushi when I was pet sitting for a client in San Jacinto/ Hemet. I doordashed the "Black Garlic Ramen" and fell in love. It was the best ramen I've ever eaten! I told my client that I wished there was one close by. A week later, I saw a post on Temecula talk Facebook group that they opened one, and I was super excited!!
So June 6th, I went with my husband and in-laws to try out on my birthday! We're all very happy with what we ordered. Thai tea was okay. I definitely had better, but it's all good! I got the Volcano Ramen, and it was a bit spicy. Personally, I'm a huge fan of spicy food, so it wasn't that bad, but for someone who does not eat spicy food often, it might be too much for you.
Now, moving onto the service. We all agreed that the girl who was serving us was really sweet. She made sure everything was good and made sure that my mother in law got her ordered without the bell peppers.
Overall, we all enjoyed the birthday dinner. The ambiance was nice, so no complaints. I definitely will return with a friend or two! Maybe go by myself, if I feel like making the drive since I'm from Murrieta. It's better than driving all the way to Hemet!
Please give this place a shot. For their soft grand opening, they did a...
Read moreAfter moving from Los Angeles to the Temecula area, I've been searching for a good local sushi spot. Tonight was yet another miserable attempt.
If you know of Sushi Gen in DTLA, I would rate that place 8/10. Genuine good food, reasonable prices etc.. Nothing Sushi has been around for decades and that's a good cheap joint with reasonable prices, large portions and the best tempura I've ever had
Now Sushi and Ramen Osaka was flat out disgusting. The sushi rice makes up 70% of the nigiri in terms of flavor. The rice tonight was pure white and didn't form well; a clear sign of lack of vinegar, no kombu added to the rice water etc. It was rice that belonged at a Chinese restaurant like Sam Woo.
The fish on the nigiri was WARM and I'm worried will be sick later.
The takoyaki and tempura....very heavy/greasy and not hot and undercooked.
Why this place received its high reviews suggest locals don't know good sushi or they are fake reviews.
Lastly, I asked the server if the owner was Japanese...nope, it's Chinese owned....
