Alright. It appears this won't probably put the photos I took yesterday in the right order. Not quite sure, so most current starts with the receipt?? #15 to 35. Last couple after that are old 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️ I don't know.
This is the first time that I get to write a review of a place I have enjoyed over the course of many meals. I know that for many it might not make much sense that I take the time to write another review of the same place, but I am moving, and I feel it is important to acknowledge this small place that had a “small town vibe” with the simple tables it offered with a lunch special that is undisputed in value. “So China” has remained a special place in my heart within this area and I wanted to have one last great meal from these wonderful folks who work so hard. Bless you all!!
Moving right along to my usual course of photos for as delivered. As always, this was packaged well. I deliver food so trust me; this is well packaged for delivery. I started with the receipt so that you can see what I ordered. Per my normal annoyance I request “Extra Spicy” but that is not the norm for this menu option. I did not include the specific options for “Dinner B” as that is subject to change, but I do feel that the items that were provided were excellent as sides. You get your money out of the Won-ton soup. Just saying J
The “As Delivered” are the first five photos that I am sharing here. I had to open the Styrofoam container to show the deliciousness that dwelled within its walls. Captivating to your Cholesterol and yet ever so yummy! The rest is pretty much self-explanatory, but it is well sealed and packed with the value that I feel is quite fair. All food was hot as would be expected and I have no complaints.
The next few photos are pulling the lid off things. The first will be the “House Special Fried Rice” and that will be followed by the Kung Pao Chicken and then the Hot Garlic Beef. The Won-Ton soup comprises the last three photos. The first is in the container, and the other two are as I would serve it. Bottom line: You get one hell of a bargain here with this side so don’t skip it.
I have an obsession with Kung Pao Chicken and I ask for “Extra Spicy” as a custom order each time. No doubt they are tired of my requests, but they always do a great job, never ask a question, and they will without a doubt provide the same excellent service to you. So, since we have established that I have an unhealthy relationship with Kung Pao Chicken, I provided a few photos of this bliss in a dish that I relocated to a plate. Housing costs were a bit high in that plastic container so I felt Bamboo was a better option.
The Hot Garlic Beef was exceptional; perhaps some of the best that I have had in ages as I once again requested “extra spicy” on my order. If you can imagine a Peacock fluffing its feathers, this would be a dish where you just protect it and enjoy it. Excellent and Tender. Everything was just as I wanted it to be. In the case of this entree, I plated it a bit differently as I felt it deserved a different touch versus the Kung Pao. I did not see much reason to take more than the three photos.
Final Thoughts:
So China, I have loved and appreciated you through the Pandemic and well before when I came in and ate after work. When I return at some unknown time to Temecula I will indeed come dine with you again! To those in Temecula and Murrieta looking for some quality Chinese Food, these people produce some excellent meals. Never judge a restaurant by its size or location. Look instead at the wonderful food you will receive from one hell of a great small business. –...
Read moreThe appetizers served before the main course is quite bland by itself, however the sweet and sour sauce is tasty and unique. My entire meal was served to me directly and the drink I ordered, (coke), is well mixed and their smoothies, e.G. mango, strawberry, and taro, look delicious as well. The atmosphere is simple, relaxing and I have a strong feeling that when this place gets crowded, it will get hectic. I ordered the Orange chicken with the upgraded side of Chow Mein. The Chow Mein was well prepared and to go along with that the Orange Chicken was outstanding. The perfect amount of crisp tag-teaming with the perfect amount of sauce made it and outstanding dinner. The servings are larger than expected and would feed a happy couple easily. Everything is fresh made so it is hot when served and stays hot throughout the meal. I am not a fan of the plastic forks and paper cups but, I do agree with their idea on the no lid policy. The restaurant is absolutely Family Friendly. The staff is kind and serves your food to you with speed and efficiency. (Although it could change based on popularity). All in all it's cheaper than Panda Express, it tastes better than Panda Express. It has the variety of P.F. Chang's. It is an all around great place to eat. (Total was $13.10). I highly recommend to anyone who wants an upgrade to Panda Express at a cheaper price. This place is fantastic and I hope this review was...
Read moreThis is THE best Chinese restaurant in the Temecula Valley. All the staff is very friendly and respectful. The price point is highly competitive considering the big portions. Both the freshness and the taste of the food are top-notch. They always carefully package to-go orders, especially fried items, to make sure they remain as fresh/hot as possible during transport. Note that this place is mainly for carry-out/pick-up. Seating is limited but I've always found it clean and organized. They also offer direct online ordering on their website which saves a few bucks as compared to using any of the major food ordering apps (although they do offer pick-up and delivery through...
