Barro's Pizza — Restaurant in Tempe

DO NOT order using their app or website!!! It will send your order to the wrong store and they will do NOTHING to help you! They will not even acknowledge their responsibility for their app making a mistake.

My story ... I used their app to place my usual order from the usual location (Warner & 87). The app has a "convenient" option to Repeat Last Order which automatically selects the last location you ordered from and last items you ordered. So I used that option, paid, and 30 minutes later drive 1 mile to my usual Barros. Only to find out when I get there that the app sent the order to ANOTHER Barros.

So I had to drive over 6 miles, and spend 45 total minutes, driving out of my way to pick up the pizza at the other store.

When I got there I asked why the app would send the order to the completely wrong store the employee said a lot of people have problems with the app and website and recommended I called to place orders in the future. Obviously not satisfied with this response I asked to speak to a manager. After explaining what happened the manager basically told me that this situation was my fault and that I should have checked which store the app was placing the order at before checking out. He even told me "what do you want me to do l ... We did nothing wrong".

There are at least 4 great pizza places within 2 miles of my house. So needless to say Barros will no longer be getting...

Jared the manager was completely disrespectful. I placed and order for a simple pizza and mozzarella sticks at 6:41 pm. It is now 9:45 pm and my food has never arrived. I called around 8:30 to check when my pizza was going to arrive. They had told me someone had tried to deliver it and had attempted to call me. Which that was my bad I messed up my number. Well we got it all situated and the order was going to come back out. Well it hit 9:30 and my food still wasn’t here. I called again to confirm it was on its way. Well Jared got upset with me and huffed about it. He then proceeded to say he had his driver call three times saying he wasn’t able to get a hold of me. (We has corrected my number and confirmed the address) So when I told him again I didn’t get any calls And that I just want my money refunded. He hung up on my after saying he would. I called back to tell him that was rude. But all in all. I have ordered Barros plenty of times in the past. My phone is working just fine. Where is my food? This place has great semi-chicago style pizza. It is deep dish, but not full authentic Chicago style. Very delicious though, better than all of the major commercial pizza delivery places. There are several locations throughout the valley, and all seem to be pretty consistent. I usually go during the lunch hours as they offer great lunch combos where you can choose from a variety of options such as 1 slice and a drink .. up to 3 slices. And it is pretty affordable, about $5.75 for the 3 slice option(although 1 or 2 slices is pretty filling). They also have pretty decent wings. Also, if you're a ranch dressing pizza dipper like me, you will be a fan aswell. The service is usually pretty good, you order at the counter and food will be brought to you, unless you're doing the lunch combo, in which case they will give you the slices at the counter. Most employee's seem to be highschool/ college age, but in all my visits, the staff have all appeared to be well trained and polite. Well managed from my point of view.
