I hate leaving baf reviews for locally owned businesses. But I feel that I need to in this case. Today was my second visit here. I remember the first time it being really good. It was geting late so we thought a bar would be a better option because they are open late. The mistake we made is that the kitchen closes early. So part of this is probably my fault. It was 8:25 and if we realized the kitchen closed at 9pm we would have gone somewhere else.
Tonight I ordered a meat ball sandwich. We wait a long time for the food. They even came over and told us it was last call for food. Which is kind of an issue if you haven't gotten your food yet.
When the food finally came my sandwich was cold. The cheese looked like it had sat so long that it was no longer melted. Then I realized that the meatballs were room temperature. My guess is the cheese wasn't melted it just melted under the heat lamp.
So my concern is that if food is being served at room temperature that people are going to get sick. So I over reacted a little which was no cool and the team was super nice and gave a refund.
So the reason for this review is so managment. knows and makes changes. This is a really cool local bar and I want them to stay in business. So I think hitting them with one bad review is worth the penalty because if they don't know this is going on they can't fix it.
If the manager had come over I wouldn't be leaving this review and other restaurants don't respond to emails so I apologize for the bad review.
Just know while the bar is open late the kitchen closes at 9pm. And never eat luck warm food because there is a high risk of getting sick if it's been a total of 4 hours allowing...
Read moreWent early on a Saturday evening. Luckily tables were available so we grabbed one before ordering at the bar. For us, this is the drawback, ordering at the bar, and if you get a dink you need to wait at the bar to get it. Food will be delivered, but you don't have a server. The food was typical for this type place. Many beer choices, but could be a bit colder. It's a bit loud, so if your adverse to that, go when not busy. The patio would be a good option is cooler weather. Mediterranean salad with chicken seemed over priced, but was tasty. Two had the chicken sandwich, which was spicy...fries would be a good side option, but not available. The best looking was the flathead, and our friend said it was great. For us, we prefer full service and not counter service. Worth giving a try if you live...
Read moreThis is an order at the counter American mixed brew pub. Except instead of beer they brew mead! Well, actually I don't know if they brew it, but they have mead from several local breweries at around $7-9 glass. If you've never tried mead, it's definitely an experience. And I think it's worth the trip to freely just to check out the mead. I always prefer having a server but for some reason they've gone the order at the counter method at this restaurant. Which is okay, just not my preference. Otherwise the food is good. Fresh, well prepared and reasonably priced. On my visit lunch for three was $60. I also like that they have ice cold bottles of water that you can bring to your table for self-serve. I wish it was better water, but with a slice of lemon it's fine....
