The number and diversity of Tempe City parks truly speaks well for action and accomplishment and then maintaining. One of the many positives is although I regularly drive by I typically don't notice it. The fence and vegetation, along the west side of park is functional and attractive. A practical boundary that adds to the community and park atmosphere. Unlike Tempe Complex it is not huge and is surrounded by homes. The soccer pitches are decent, basketball courts like new and well placed playground. If you appreciate birds, children trees and a clean park you may enjoy it in various manners. Tempe might consider something to consider in future park planning. Many parkgoers take things for granted such as having restrooms. Cities have a difficult time mailing restrooms and park goers are unhappy. Some restrooms are closed for various reasons. My possibly weird idea are a couple of signs at each park without restrooms. Sign close to parking area. Sign advises possible places might go to if in need of restrooms use. An other idea is highly unlikely. Funding permitting have a few restrooms that are helpful to homeless. Yesterday at different places in a number of parks I saw people washing and drying their clothing. One person was washing all but the shorts he had on. I hope I am...

Coming down from the sidewalk, I saw some of the area of grass were dried out and other areas were a bit muddy... but overall, the field was green and lush. The sidewalk winded straight over to the playground and basketball area, and the concrete path had a colorful drawing too- cute touch. I don't recall seeing any amenities or picnic tables. One things I especially liked was the outdoor fitness area with pull up bars, etc. There's also a nice colorful and clean playground, a soccer field to run around in, and a decent basketball court. It was quiet when I went there and I think I saw only one...
Read moreBrought my kids here for a play date- the city has done a great job updating the park. Variety of play equipment and plenty of shade for parents. I really appreciate they kept a mature olive tree and made a nice sitting area around it. Even the strip of turf was a nice touch. A few different pieces of play equipment that encouraged healthy activities like working on balance and core muscles. Kids don't know it but through play on these they are flexing important muscles for growth and...
