Solid spot for both traditional breakfast and vegetarian/vegan options. We stopped by for a quick bite as we explore the area. This review will mostly be regarding breakfast options. Will update if we drop by for one of the protein smoothies but we didn't grab one this time.
Chicken and Waffles: The chicken was pretty good - about equivalent to what you would find at a fast food joint, perhaps a bit lighter/less greasy (good thing). The waffles tasted good though a little underdone.
Vegan Chorizo Breakfast Burrito: Pretty amazing what they can accomplish with today's vegan options! Coming from someone who doesn't eat Vegan much, the faux-eggs and faux-chorizo were spot on and it was a huge burrito. I could barely finish it! Oh, and the sauce was ABSOLUTELY delicious, just heavy on the heat so it was kind of rough portioning it to taste if you don't handle spicy well. Spicy-lovers will adore it though.
Service: Fast, polite, and friendly! A+ for the whole staff.
The only complaint we had was there's a lot of single use plastic and trash for dine-in, which we found odd for a spot that seemed at least somewhat ecologically conscious. The trays are there... why not get some cheap plates and silverware? Folks already bus the trays and trash.
EDIT: See the response below. It makes sense if there's no room for a wash station. Thanks for the reply and explanation! We look forward to seeing you guys again soon!
Overall, we'll definitely be back to try more...
Read moreSTAY AWAY. Went yesterday to try something new but they are a mess. I either have horrible food poisoning (the chef kept going to the bathroom with his phone) or they don’t understand what vegan means…because I was up all night throwing up and intestines hurting from this place and in serious pain today. The owner told me he’s not health conscious but his customers are so he ‘looks stuff up’. WHAT? No no no. Stay away. It’s new owners that don’t know what they’re doing and I’m very Ill because of it. $50 for that. 😣 Do better or do something else. People’s health are at stake!
Response to owner: NO ACCOUNTABILITY EVER. With me or other customers. Sigh. For the record you don’t know me and have it wrong. I’ve been vegan for 8 years.
The girl working was great. Overwhelmed (she had no help) but doing her best. The menus haven’t been changed out (seriously that’s so easy) and the food was gross and the prices way too high for what you’re serving. I understand business. I’m a business owner myself. Take the constructive feedback from mine and others reviews and do better. A conversation turned into a 1 star review because I can’t do 0 and because I am literally sitting here violently ill and in severe pain. I haven’t felt this way in YEARS. Nothing you can say will change that fact. DO BETTER.
P.S: carmel color is linked to cancer. Don’t act like you’re a healthy option when it’s $12 for plain pancakes and Burger King style ‘maple syrup’.
I won’t be responding...
Read moreI have never taken the time to write a review like this before, but I’m doing it now as a warning for anyone else. This place was THE worst food / service I have ever had in my entire life. Service: The employees were off-putting and rude, the cook made rude comments about the order being placed, and despite the fact that we sat down at a table to dine-in, we were served our food in styrofoam to-go containers as if to say “get out please”.
The food: I am not exaggerating, this was the worst food I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant. Runny undercooked eggs, undercooked sausage, and pancakes that were too tough to cut with a fork alone - frankly I was afraid to eat it. We spent $40 on our meals, and after being not so kindly forced out the door by the presentation of our food in styrofoam containers+the horrendous service, we drove to a nearby park to eat, only to end up throwing the entire meal away for fear of food poisoning.
I repeat - DO NOT waste your time at this place or give these people your money. This is a sad excuse for a restaurant and I left their establishment feeling offended...
