☕️ Honored and grateful to have embarked on an incredible journey of coffee discovery with the one and only Patrick O'Malley! ☕️
Completing the International Barista Specialty Coffee Association course under Patrick's guidance has been nothing short of enlightening. His wealth of knowledge and dedication to the craft are truly inspiring.
Patrick O'Malley, a true maestro in the world of coffee, holds an impressive array of credentials - from being an SCA Diploma Holder to a Licensed Q Arabica Grader and a Tea Sommelier. His passion for excellence led him to become one of the select few to achieve the prestigious SCA Diploma back in 2010, marking him as a trailblazer in the industry.
But Patrick's journey didn't stop there. Beyond his achievements, Patrick's humility and dedication shine through in every lesson and interaction. It's an honor to learn from someone so deeply passionate about their craft.
Thank you, Patrick, for not only teaching us the art of specialty coffee but for inspiring us to pursue excellence in all that we do. Here's to many more cups of enlightenment and growth on this...
Read moreWish I didn't have to rate stars since I didn't try the coffee or tea and both seem popular. I purchased a smoothie and I knew I was in trouble when the first thing I saw the employee pull out was a box of liquid flavoring instead of fresh fruit. Maybe there was fresh fruit in the concoction but I don't really think so. It tasted fine enough but I let it sit for a couple minutes and the smoothie started to separate with a nasty pink fluid like you would see from a melted 7-11 slurpee on the bottom and chunky ice at the top. Again, I don't want to sound like a vegetarian at a steakhouse rating the salad as bad but just a heads up to avoid the smoothies here! I should have asked for my money back. The flavor of the smoothie before it started to get gross was okay enough, but I could only eat about half of it, plus having to constantly stir out the sticky pink slime at the bottom wasn't doing much for my appetite. The portion size was actually rather large (which is awesome) but I think a smaller, cheaper option should be available with more fresh fruit and no...

But maybe because they're trying to avoid the typical bitterness and other negative flavors that coffee can be prone to they ended up eliminating the richness, aroma, and complexity as well. As an avid coffee drinker I found my hot regular coffee to be a little watered down and lack the personality and distinctiveness of a great brew. My coffee was also served lukewarm, which tells me there are quality control issues. My two cents as a coffee snob!
EDIT: In response to the owner--I didn't want to bring it up but I did love another Arizona coffee company called Presta Coffee Roasters located in Tuscon. Their coffee is some of the best that I've ever had. One of my favorite "commercial" roasters is Blue Bottle and Presta's roast and brew is just as good. The coffee industry is very competitive, so getting used to constructive criticism would work in your favor. Your accolades notwithstanding every drinker's taste will vary and not every coffee critic will love the style of your...
