I stopped in for a quick bite to eat for lunch today in the hopes of finding a new awesome spot to eat. I ordered the symphony without avocado and stated I have a severe allergy to avocado. When I received my sandwich I noticed tomato was crossed off my bag but not avocado. Before leaving I checked the sandwich and it was missing the tomato but had avocado on both halves. I walked back to the counter and waited until someone looked my way eventually and explained I'm severely allergic to avocado again and needed to send it back. The girl at the front kind of just looked at me with a confused looked and said okay and took the bag from me. I did not receive an apology or anything other than looks and an "okay". I watched her write on another bag and placed it in the window. I was then given another bag this time with avocado crossed off. I did a quick peek in the bag to assure I did not see large chunks of avocado again and then left. Upon returning back to work and going to eat, I opened up the Sandwich and found not avocado slices, but the skin to the avocado. As my avocado allergy is severe, as I had told them twice, I was unable to eat my sandwich. I paid $14.68 minus the tip I gave to only walk away being able to eat a small bag of Doritos. Food allergies are something a lot of us have to take very serious. I'm always very good about telling an establishment about my allergies and can usually understand and forgive when a mistake is made. However, to send it back to then receive the skin which shouldn't be anywhere in ANY sandwich is beyond me. Obviously food allergies are not a priority here and had I not looked again, it could have ended very badly. The price was already steep for what was received but for food allergies to be ignored not once, but twice and to have to throw it away.... That is not okay. I will not be returning and would advise anyone with an allergy to be very cautious as this place does not take them...
Read moreI'm sitting inside at this very moment eating an order of their biscuits and gravy. I've never been here before, but have been meaning to try them in my effort to help support small businesses during the pandemic. The biscuits and gravy are fantastic! All the way down to how the biscuits hold up while covered in gravy, this Arkansas native is impressed by how well they nailed my favorite southern dish. I ordered my son the southwest burrito and exchanged a few things to make it not so spicy, and he gobbled it right up. I was also impressed by the customer service. I'm not sure of her name, but the lady with the short dark hair took my order and was very accommodating. She was either the owner, or cared about the shop like an owner. To be honest, every employee I saw seemed to care about the shop like it's their own. That's old school team work that seems to be dying in most establishments, so i made sure I tipped. The shop is clean, and they have free iced coffee, which is actually pretty good. I even got a couple of sandwiches to go on order to help support this hidden gem. I'll be back, and I will happily spend more money at this sandwich shop. Everyone loves a great sandwich, and this place delivers on...
Read moreWe went back and the next few times everything was EXCELENT. BUT, today 1/20/22 at 12:30, not very busy. I do not know who was cooking but the sandwiches were awful again. To keep customers you really have to be consistent. Today's sandwiches WereREALLY BAD, JUST THROW N together like in one minute. Things on the sandwiches were almost non visible, really less than teaspoon of coleslaw on whole Ruben, 1 cranberry and soggy bread on the improve. HARD TO PAY THESE PRICES FOR TERRIBLE FOOD!!!!
My bread was stale and nothing on sandwich but the egg salad and that was very dry. Couldn't even eat the bread so hard and stale. Husband's sandwich was bad also. Said it was the worst Ruben...
