I received the most revolting burrito I have ever had from this Señor Taco. I ordered the Diablo Shrimp burrito thinking it would be the same or similar to the Diablo Shrimp burrito from the Señor Taco in Fountains Hills, which is always excellent and one of my favorite items: chock full of shrimp and rice drenched in really spicy red Diablo sauce. Unfortunately the burrito I got was nothing like it. It was filled with CANNED MUSHROOMS. Watery, canned mushrooms mixed with melted cheese, a few meager shrimp, and rice. No red sauce, not spicy, nothing “Diablo” about it! Never in my life would I expect to receive a burrito full of canned mushrooms from a Mexican drive thru. Canned mushrooms, cheese, and shrimp? In what universe do those three ingredients go well together? It was absolutely revolting - inedible. My husband’s Grilled Chicken burrito was also abysmal: small chunks of bland, unseasoned, extremely dry chicken mixed with just a little bit of bland guacamole. I was so disappointed because the food from both of the Señor Taco locations in Fountain Hills, especially the location on Fountain Hills Blvd, is always excellent. Those two burritos brought great shame to the Señor Taco name!
Based solely on that astoundingly bad Diablo Shrimp burrito and the lousy Grilled Chicken burrito, I would give this location 1 star (or fewer if I could). But since I have had other decent items from this location in the past, such as their shrimp quesadilla and shrimp enchiladas, I’ll give 2 stars overall. Still, everything I have tried at this location has paled in comparison to the Fountain Hills Blvd location. Tempe...
Read moreIf I could give them a zero star I would. Most of these comments are most likely through drive thru orders, but if you dined in as often as I use to. Most likely, the ratings would drop to a two or three stars. I've seen the staff after using the restroom come back to work and not wash their hands. Sure, they may have washed them in the restroom, but I don't know that for sure. How do I know they got underneath their fingernails before preparing food. That's not the worst part, when returning from work they go back to preparing food without using gloves. I'm not a fan of eating fecal matter with my food, but it would be common decency to at least wear gloves when preparing customers food. I hope the owner sees this comment and addresses the issue. The food taste good, but wearing gloves is a must when preparing someone's food. Literally, only we know where our hands have been. I wont be coming back, but I suggest if anyone orders dine in to watch them prepare your food. When I asked for a refund they provided me with one, but the short Hispanic girl began saying comments in spanish about me to the cook in Spanish. Guess what? I understand spanish, so you might just want to keep your comments to yourself next time and not assume I don't understand what you are saying. This was not the first time I saw them prepare food for me without a glove, but it will...
Read moreBeen going to this location for years and the food was always great and the customer service was. Did an online order directly with the restaurant through their own website listed with the Google search and paid for it through this website as Door dash and Grub hub inflate the prices even if it's a pickup order and don't always have the full menu available to order. Big mistake. Was quoted 20 minutes so, my wife went to pick up the order and I took screenshots of the order and sent it to her. She arrived and the employee told her that they didn't receive the order and called the owner. The owner treated my wife like she was lying about the order despite her showing the employee the screenshot of the paid order that clearly showed that location. We finally got our food but, it wasn't complete and my wife is now in tears about the attitude and lack of respect she received from the owner. I will never again patronize this restaurant and will urge my family and friends to spread the word not to either. With everything else going on in this world right now, one would think that any restaurant would have no problem resolving an issue such as this in a polite and respectful mannar. This did not happen tonight and they will no longer be my family's go to for...
