China Star — Restaurant in Temple Terrace

I just wanted some beef and snow peas no clue what dishes as it been a while and I used to just walk in and ask for it when I used to come here the dude was like we can do that but it will be an up charge ( most places just have carrots and baby Carrots added I just didn’t want all that) I said sure what ever then I asked for a side of pork fried rice and he said do I still want the white rice that come with the beef and snow peas I said no because I want a side of pork fried rice on the side … so than he proceeds to take out MORE OR OF THE dish but continues with its another up charge…… and and still charged me full price for the side of pork fried rice my meal it was crazy over prices I used to go here a lot when I work in the area I was visiting a friend and she want to go and i don’t know what has happened but its not what...

On the up side: the place was very, very clean. There was plexiglass separating the customers from the staff, you communicated through a speaker and got your order through a slot. There was plenty of hand sanitizer and the seating was socially distanced.

Also: the food we were able to eat was quite tasty. My family enjoyed the egg drop soup, sweet & sour chicken, egg rolls, rice, and bourbon chicken.

On the down side: I was unable to eat my meal. I ordered mu shu beef, and received mu shu pork. I ordered using the number on the menu as well as the name, so there's really no way it could have been misunderstood. They were simply careless. And, since I cannot eat pork, I wasn't able to join my family for lunch. If it weren't for that carelessness, we'd have given them 5 stars.

I recently tried ChinaStar and I have to say, I was blown away. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of seasoning. The General Tso's chicken was crispy and flavorful with an hint of spice which I personally enjoyed, and the crab Rangoons were the perfect blend of creamy and savory. I'm already looking forward to my next order from this restaurant!

The quality of the food was exceptional and I was impressed with how fresh everything tasted. The portions were also very generous, so I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. Overall, I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone who is looking for delicious fresh food. You won't be...
