This review is a 1 star review, but I enjoy this restaurant and I don’t want one bad experience mess up their good track record. I’m a college student who works in retail. I’m broke. Sometimes I want to splurge and spend $30 on a couple bowls for me and my girlfriend. This restaurant is always great for lunch! This time we chose to go for dinner, about an hour before close. They were out of practically everything. We each received a literal spoon full of couscous as our base because they were out of everything, and made it seem like it would be out of their way to make more. This persisted in every section, including protein. All that was left was one fried chicken patty and a scoop of lemon chicken. They did offer to cook something for me after being out of the last 5 things I asked for. I chose not to agree, because I didn’t want them to go out of their way to cook something only for me. They seemed very thankful and relieved I didn’t want them to cook something for me. The last straw was getting rung up for 2 complete bowls when the both of our bowls would probably not equate to 1 full bowl. Again, we really like this place. Although, if this was our first visit, we would not come back and tell our friends to not go.
Like I mentioned, I work in retail so I understand being faced with an annoying customer when something isn’t your fault. Although, what’s frustrating is that we found out they were out of everything as we made it to each station. They didn’t bother to tell us they were out of literally EVERYTHING until we got through half of the line, when at that point when had half full bowls of things we didn’t want. We would have just not ordered if we knew nothing was available. Two guys came in as we left, I sure do wonder what...
Read moreI love the food here. I’ve been going ever since it’s opened and i’d say i’m a pretty regular costumer. About 2 months ago i’d say a newer girl started to work there. She gets the job done, but she always comes in with sass and attitude. She looks like she quite literally dislikes her job. At first i thought maybe she would tired or whatever but more times i would go it would progressively get worse. The first incident i asked for a certain veg and didn’t ask for that i kindly asked if she can take it off, if she started giving looks and attitude didn’t even respond. The second time was when i’d asked to spilt cash and my card separately on the bill, which this place can’t do which is completely fine. I offered to pay on full card anyways but she started giving me attitude insisting on me leaving, i appreciate her action but attitude wise it’s tension. My last straw was on my birthday when i literally asked if she put the chicken in my wrap and she started giving attitude once again and then i had it and called her out. I apologized to her even though she could have just said yes for her attitude but even then always giving looks and attitude. I’m really done with this place don’t recommend the workers only really enjoyed it from one girl but i think she left now they are all rude but the...
Read moreToday was my first visit but won’t be my last. What a wonderful lunch I had today as takeout dem Hummus Republic. I work close by and stopped in on the way home. Everyone I interacted with was really friendly and one lady in particular who I’m guessing was a manager was over the top helpful and sweet.l and made sure my first experience was just that, over the top. She succeeded! I had a wrap with a couple types of hummus, garbanzo beans, the mushroom shawarma and a bunch of toppings and a little bit of sauce for good measure. Just fantastic! The lemonade type drink was very delicious too and in particular the tumeric ginger was my choice but want wait to have the others.
I should have a taken a pic but after the first bite that wrap didn’t stand a chance. Pay them a visit for a fresh and delicious meal.
I live in St Pete and would love a...
