Emerald Lawns - Temple Lawn Care — Local services in Temple

I've been using Emerald Lawns for almost a year now and I truly have a love/hate relationship with this company. First, whatever product they use on our lawn seems to be beneficial. We've had a pretty decent looking lawn and the weeds seem well-controlled. But that's about the only thing positive I have to say. The customer service is abysmal. I cannot count how many of our lawn and tree services were actually completed on the scheduled date. Nearly every one of them had to be rescheduled for one reason or another (weather, "unforeseen circumstances", us not unlocking our gate within three minutes of the tech's arrival). I don't mind an occasional reschedule but this is like every other service or even back-to-back services and then after waiting a week, two weeks, three weeks with no new service date rescheduled, I'm forced to call only to be told they will "expedite" my name on the list. Nope. That doesn't happen. As I'm writing this, I'm still waiting (week 3) for my lawn service to come back out and just got a text message that unfortunately the tree service scheduled today is unable to come out. So, I'm unsure how many treatments I'm behind but that doesn't stop them from charging my account for the services and when I've talked to them about it, all I get is that it's on prescheduled payments but they "assure" me I will receive all of the treatments. Paid a lot to have the yard top dressed, and they wouldn't give an absolute day/time they would be out. I had to keep reaching out. They finally came out and did a terrible job, and I spoke to the sales gu,y he had them come back out, and they didn't really fix the job and talked crap about having to come back out. Reach back out again and asked for a partial refund so we could do it ourselves, an a Supervisor named Nick called and came out. Nick said they would be back out. He asked us to send him a video from our cameras showing they didn't level so we did; He said if we could show that, he would be happy to give us a refund. However, he stated they would be out within the next few days, and lo and behold, there were more excuses as to why they couldn't come out..truck broke down, etc, etc. Having yard top dress requires you to cut the lawn really low, and in the heat, we can't keep doing that just to find out they aren't coming. We reached out to Nick and let him know we would just go and get the sand and do it ourselves and they could refund us. Since then, we have been ignored. In my opinion, COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I will make sure to spread the word that this company does a half ass job and is just looking to get paid, whether they do the job correctly or not!
