I don't make a habit of posting bad reviews, but in this case, I am going to make an exception. If you like being stolen from, this is a great place to shop. I don't shop here often as eating clean & organic just doesn't fit into a disability income. However, I was gifted a gift card here & got to splurge on groceries a couple of times. Unfortunately, what I lost was far more valuable than what I gained. I dropped an expensive & sentimental knife out of my purse at the cash register. I realized it in less than an hour & called them. The employee didn't even let me finish my explanation before informing me she had found my knife & had it put it up for me. I confirmed with her what it looked like. When I returned the next day to pick it up, none of the employees or manager on duty knew what I was talking about. The manager was able to get in touch with the employee I spoke to who told her where she put my knife, which was not in the safe in the back as policy states it should have been. Well, my knife was no where to be found. I assumed it had been stolen, but the manager vehemently denied that any of her employees would have done that. She said she would investigate & get back to me. Over the next month, I stopped in on numerous occassions & called several times. The manager I was dealing with was never there & never attempted to get back in touch with me. I finally got ahold of her this past week. She said, "No one has found your knife and everyone denies having ever seen it." I asked her if I had any recourse & she told me no. On one occassion that I stopped in, another manager confirmed that she believed it had been stolen & she had an idea by who but she was not in charge of the situation. Janet, the manager I dealt with did not truly investigate the situation, showed no remorse for my loss, offered no solutions or anything to try to help offset my loss. I am sorely disappointed in how the situation was handled by Janet. You can't replace the sentimental value, but the monetary value could've been replaced. She should have put some effort into her "investigation" and may just have actually retrieved my stolen property. In spite of the fact they have some items I can't get anywhere else, I doubt that I will ever step foot in this store again & give my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVote with your purchases. Choose well. Non-gmo. Organic. Good or better practices. Cleaner choices! Support companies that sell from good businessā who provide these more ethical characteristics. This store does that for the most part, when I canāt find a good local option or donāt have time to separately travel just to get those. This is the only larger organic variety store in the areaāI come all the way from Waco/McGregor to shop here š āand some rare finds that I usually would buy off the internet-so appreciate that. The produce is excellent. The caveat, we tend to pay high prices for these actual good foods/brands because we live in a broken system-I bought an $18 šµāš«organic local watermelon here, BUT it was the BEST watermelon I have ever had and actually had seedsš, so it would be fair to lower their common organic brands or somewhat conventional supps/items that you can find elsewhere for less (I.e.-amazing California Olive Oil you can find at HEB for less), while still offering the good stuff. I love their clearance section in the back by the bathrooms.;) The items I love that I canāt find anywhere else in Central Texas-lol: the famous Greek ācoffeeā Dandelion Chicory (so many benefits and delicious iced or hotš„°), Chaga Mushroom Chocolate Chai, VitaMinerals Liquid Fulvic Humic Acid, Chloraphyll, watermelon to die forš¤¤, good Hummus Persian and Indian foods, frozen free range organic non-mRNA bones for bone broth, energy square spirulina bites𤤠(in back refrig), great skincare varieties, basil and heirloom tomatoes always sweet and fragrant, apples, good raw cheeses! Josieās salads mixes could be a bit cheaper. Organic snack section is on par with pretty good varieties. Zevia sodas-the founder from NY relocated here, too! Great to see a delicious healthy option for that. Delicious goat milk. Good teas! Great book and magazine options. Good supp section! Needless to say, I spend a good amount...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell I wanted to pay a visit to this store today. Decided to read the reviews and noticed that the owner or manager is only responding to reviews that are good. Just so you know customers give good and bad feedback so that you have a line of communication with them and can correct any mishaps. Don't be afraid to respond to your customers that are voicing concern about something. That's not the proper way to facilitate the reviews and it looks like you're avoiding taking responsibility. I think I might wait to visit the store until management can get it together. Moldy Ginger.. for over a month on the shelf.. and you've been told multiple times. And then you see the review and don't have a single response for them. Not even a... We noticed this issue and apologize it has been corrected. Nothing. Probably why it's been there for over a month. Don't be afraid to respond to your customers and correct issues. If you think people won't notice that you are deflecting by avoiding taking action, we are. Other than that the store looked beautiful in all the photos. don't be a cherry picker in responding to your customers on your reviews though. It's not...
