We went through drive-thru on New Year's morning and had a pretty large order. It was about 12:30am and there was one vehicle ahead of us that was pulled up, I'm assuming they were waiting for their food. We placed our order and paid. Then we sat at the second window and waited 30 minutes to get our food... Actually no one ever came to the window up until the moment they handed us our food. My friend, who was in the backseat of my van jokingly asked if we could get some free drinks or something for the wait. The cashier was extremely rude and said a snide remark back to my friend. So my husband, who was in the driver seat, intervened and he politely said that there was no reason for her to get so defensive and that our friend was only trying to lighten the mood. But the cashier snipped back again, at him this time. So my husband, being the very open and honest man that he is, politely told her to f* off and to have a Happy New year. And we drove away. As I passed out the food we found that they burnt two sandwiches, messed up another sandwich, and we were missing two items. We didn't want to go back because we were worried about them doing something to our food. But my husband handed over a nice chunk of money and he was not going to let it go, especially since the cashier was rude. We went back through drive-thru and explained the situation. They told us to pull up to the second window. When we got there, the manager named Elizabeth was standing at the window. My husband attempted to explain the issues and she wasn't having any of it. She interrupted him, asking for the receipt. He gave it to her. She asked for the bag, he gave it to her. She snapped at him and asked him what he wanted. And he attempted to explain it again and she snapped at him and interrupted him again. And tried to say that he would have to pay for it and that it wasn't on the receipt. He just got tired of arguing with her so he handed over more money. That's when I snapped and said to get his money back and don't spend another dime. So he did, we all said a few choice words to each other and we drove away. We will never spend another dime at any McDonald's ever again. We rarely go out to eat. But every time we do choose to go to McDonald's, they never fail to make it complicated or something is always broken. They clearly have employees who are miserable with their jobs and don't deserve them. There are plenty of people out there who would appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to be a stand-up customer service employee. I appreciate the people who work in customer service because I know how stressful it can be... But to be downright rude to a person who is trying to make you smile and who is still attempting to be kind and polite after being snapped at and interrupted multiple times, is ugly and is taking up space for a person who can actually do the job right. Find a different career, if you can't handle the one you have chosen. And give someone else a shot at it. Stop being a waste of space and time for...
Read moreThe night manager which is a lady with glasses and looks like grey hair is very rude. I placed a mobile order and after the money was taken off my card. I was told they couldn't do mobile orders at the time. I asked the manager what was i suppose to do because my points and money already got taken off my card, to which she explained "I dont know what to do" to where i showed her that the money indeed did get taken off and that my points wasnt there anymore. She refused to make my food, give me a refund, and when i asked for corporates number she told me to come back later when another manager was there and they could help me. Then she slammed the window on my face. Being a manager she is very unprofessional and i feel sorry for the workers because they were trying to defuse the issue. I like the workers and all the managers there but her at this point. Everyone else there has always been so kind. This lady also already ticked off two others in front of me. In my personal opinion she doesn't need to be a manager, my husband was a manager at rallys before, and we both have worked at McDonald's and what she did shows that shes not cut out for the job. She now has my money, and my food along with the 6000...
