Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Terre Haute

I'm normally not the type of person to leave a negative review, but the customer service was definitely lacking. I get you guys are short staffed, but don't take it out on your customers by being standoff-ish and rude.

The young lady that took my payment and gave me the food was one of two employees that I interacted with and she was standoff-ish to the point she seemed annoyed I even chose the restaurant in the first place. The gentleman that took my order was worse and was blatantly annoyed and it showed plain as day in his tone of voice.

On the matter of food, it was nothing to write home about. The tots were good and fresh. The chicken bites had very little sauce, not sure if it was a policy change or just line rushing to get it out, but all in all mediocre at best.

This is the fourth sonic location in the country I've gone to (none are local to me unless I want to drive 45mins, but I've gone to two in Missouri and now two here in Indiana due to how often I travel long distance for work) and this location by far is the worst that I have tried out of them all. Prior to this visit I've gotten amazing customer service and great food every single time from each restaurant. First and definitely last time going to this one, especially since there are at least 6 other food options all within eyeshot of the location, two of which I have had amazing customer service at.

TL;DR I get you're stressed because you aren't paid enough and are short staffed, but even a fake smile for the sake of customer service will definitely go a long way in getting return visitors....

So This is the second time ever eating from this Sonic. Spent over $30. First time, a couple months ago, was the chilidog that was nothing close to the "ultimate dining experience" leaving a slight wierd aftertaste while and when eating. This time I chose the simple 1/4 pounder meal. Though service was good, the sandwich was nothing extroadinary, lacking in real taste and flavor. Like the bun didnt really go with the overall intention. The tater tots were just downright plain. Nothing different than i can find at any grocery store. If I was able to leave a review without selecting a star, that is exactly what it would do. I visited your location thru the drive thru. When receiving my drink order, Team members were using profanity so loud that we literally heard the male employee say " What the f$%& is that order". I requested to speak to the manager on duty. When I politely explained that I thought it was really unprofessional for your guests to hear this, her response was "Oh, Okay." She then closed the window before I had the opportunity to ask for a call back.
