Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Terrell

Went through the drive thru and ordered a 16-piece meal (12 fish and 4 chicken). The menu stated that for an additional $2.59, you can get cheese bites as a side with your meal. I tried to order the cheese bites, and the woman taking the order practically shouted that I couldn't get that as a side for any additional price. Whatever, right? I ordered my food and had to clarify 6 times that I wanted 12 pieces of fish and 4 pieces of chicken. $55.58 and 20 minutes later, I get my food and drive 45 minutes home. When I got home, I found out that I had gotten 3 pieces of fish and 7 pieces of chicken (not even 12 pieces total, and DEFINITELY, not what I had ordered). I tried calling the restaurant 4 times to see what would be the best way to handle this problem, but nobody would answer the phone. I drove back over there to get the problem fixed, and the same woman was working at the window. She took the food that I had driven all the way home with and that I had broken every piece of fish and chicken in half to see what it was. I then had to wait 30 minutes for them to correct the order. When I told her that I had tried to call, she rolled her eyes and said,"Well... apparently the phone isn't working, is it?" I love long john silver, but I will NEVER stop at the one in Terrell again....

I haven't been to a Long John Silver's or this location in particular in over 20 years. This visit was at the Terrell Texas location 02-08-2022 around 1:00PM. I ordered the #10 (2 fish, 6 shrimp, 2 sides). I got extra hush puppies because I remembered them being very good and cole slaw. The fish, shrimp and hush puppies were entirely to greasy. To the point that you didn't want to lick your fingers because grease was dripping off of them. Everything was hot and moist, but just to greasy. Like they reheated it in grease or the grease wasn't hot enough and soaked into the food when cooked. The other person I was with ordered the same, except got french fries and cole slaw as sides. The cole slaw and french fries were actually very good. The inside of the building could use some sprucing up, it's beginning to look it's age and outdated. The staff were nice and very polite from our short interactions with them. I will not be going back to this location or probably any other Long John Silver's any time soon. Terrible everything. We pulled up and the front door was locked so we went through the drive through. I ordered cod off the menu and she replied ( we don't do cod) I was wondering why the front door is locked when it clearly says on the hours OPEN mind you this is 7 pm so we ask after getting the food and she said closed early and I asked everyday she said yes I then asked what time she said 6. Well 6 is fine I suppose but it would be nice if it was posted on something, anything like maybe online or on the front door. Now let's go to the food! Like I said earlier terrible terrible, the fish was not the Cold side and dried out and the shrimp had a texture and taste of something being left out in the Texas sun for a week or so but my friend chicken was hot so maybe eat the chicken IDK and the rest you can probably guess.
