I called earlier today and the young man said he would put our name down for us to have dinner at 7:30. I called at 2 pm today for a reservation since we had 2 young grandchildren with us. The young man said "We don't take reservations unless it is for parties of 8 or more. BUT I can can put your name down to get in on the wait list." Great! Thank you!! When we arrived there were 3 people outside cussing, and two sitting on the bench. Upon entering gave the hostess our information, she informed me "it is an hour wait" WHAT?! For what lol?!?!??! The establishment was NOT full. I explained that we were placed on the " Wait list" by a young man today when I called trying to make reservations for our small family. She basically gave me the "rolled eye" look and blew me off. When I sat down by Louis and our grandsons, he asked what happened. I explained that it is an hour wait. Why?!?!?! No one is here!!! Great point! How can you have an hour wait with basically not alot in the restaurant and even IF you had reservations for 8 pm, IF your people could serve us in a timely manner we would be gone before whatever you have as a reservation planned showed up!!! My husband suggested that possibly maybe they did not want kids there....interesting, I did NOT see any kids there.....won't be back. We have ate there other times and way before I started reviewing on Google. Sadly, probably WON'T be reviewing them after this. Hope you have better luck...

Return customer due to past experience being great! This experience left me without a desire to ever return. To start, a margarita with 2/3 tequila is over pour and is poor taste and quality. The waitress refills a sprite drink with water. The tea refill was all tea and no ice on a 100 degree day in the south. Lunch fajitas had 4 pieces of meat in the entire platter. Fish tacos were horrible. A pile of lettuce, sauce and pico hiding fish filets that you have to separate the tortillas to make your own from the heap in front of you. The tilapia was cooked on a charred grill or there would not have been black flakes of charred remnants. No further refills were offered and the bus boy came and cleaned the table while we waited 10 more minutes to receive our check. It will be a long while if I ever decide to stop at this restaurant to spend $76 on food I was completely dissatisfied with and lack of service. My intent was to even have dessert yet that idea passed with the experience of the poor food. Not to mention, the tilapia was extremely thin and moist as well. This visit left me with a desire to...

This would be my 2nd time visiting this restaurant. The first time my wife and I came and we made the best of it in spite of the long wait for our food at a low traffic time of the day. Today was the worst though! I'm passing through town to take my mom there and experienced the worst customer service. We saw 4 other tables composed of 2 or 3 people each that seated along with us or after us, get their order taken AFTER us, but received their food BEFORE us! After calling the manager due to our food finally coming out 45 minutes later cold, his defense was that our food order took longer to make. We ordered Zapata's grilled fish and the Mesquite grilled quail off their menu. The plates weren't even hot, and there was no steam from the food present. Instead of sincerely apologizing and trying to make things right, we were just asked if we wanted to order something else (I didn't have time to wait for more food). That's maybe my last time ever going, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. There's better food and better service at...

My first time here was around 2000 and once again it was a fun evening with family and good food. Both my daughters had quesadillas one chicken and one beef. They both loved them. I had the Del Rio. We had the cheese queso and I loved it cause it's real cheese and not the fake stuff... Daughters didn't much like the texture... The chips were tiny and I call this kind messy chips cause the chips are so small your gonna get salsa on your fingers. Guess I could have just poured some in my salsa bowel and ate them with a fork. now down to my food...It was a nice presentation, hot and ok. Everything tasted the same... I guess because of the red sauce. Maby back when I drank years ago I enjoyed this place much better. The staff is the best in the ArkLaTex and it is a landmark but be ready for premium price. I will be back again in one day but tie there are several other choices at better prices.

I suppose all the good reviews we saw when we picked out this place for lunch was for good service, because the food was certainly mediocre at best. Also, its heavily americanized Mexican. The salsa was the only item that had any heat. We got the baked cheese thats what the waiter called it, it was tasteless. We assumed it was queso, but I can make far better queso at home.We ordered a chicken taco and a chicken enchilada, and veggie fajitas. The fajitas had very big chunks and strips of carrots, broccoli zucchini and bell peppers which had a lot of butter on them, it also came with a tiny bowl of melted better, but otherwise there wasn't any other seasoning. The tortillas were soft. The chicken wasn’t seasoned either. I wouldn't visit again unless all I am looking for its good service and decent salsa
