This place is a gem in the dust and highly overlooked by people. I absolutely love their food.. Everything I've tried, even the basic grilled dishes are extremely good. I've had Thai all over the states and one of the better areas was in South Puget Sound in Washington State. I ate at one near FT Carson in Colorado when I was stationed there but it wasn't as good as this one in Texas City. Prices are great, portions are perfect.. Do not drive past this place, give it a try.. Have a Thai iced tea if you haven't had one before. I've met a handful of random folks going in there and it's a family owned and ran business. I've found myself dining in at around 8:30 and my wife and I were basically sitting next to the family that owns it eating dinner while they had their family dinner getting ready to close up shop. Awesome experiences, I love this place and only hope and pray they will stay in TC. Give them a try! You never know, I've been an avid customer since retiring from the US Army.
Thought I should add this note, My wife took my keys one night.. I wasn't aware and I ordered dinner to pick up before they closed. I couldn't arrive there so the owner offered to drive and deliver it to me at my house. He's not a very talkative fella in shop but very kind hearted, so don't take that as a sign of being rude. He ended up leaving the food at the front door for me in several bags for my wife to grab on...
Read moreWorst pho I have ever eaten ordered a combination Pho , old bean sprouts, some kind of meat that looks like thin brisket, almost didn't see the rest of the ingredients they where hidden under 3 huge jalapeno slices. Will never eat there again . The first pic is basil house pho the rest are Pho bo ne. See the difference? Last 2 are real Pho. Edit After ready new reviews I tried it again and even bought extra ingredients however it was the same terrible at least to me. I haven’t tried their other food so I can’t say anything about it. I think being the only pho in town is why people speak highly of it. I spent 19.00 on a bowl of pho and was very disappointed. Went elsewhere and spent 12.00 and had a great experience. New pics below. Second row from visit where I paid 19 for extra which I didn’t get. Bottom five is what I am eating now from Viet Saigon. I just want them to do better because the ingredients are cheap if they give a decent bowl for the money no problem but like I said being the only game in town means you don’t have to step...
Read moreFinally went here after years of hearing good things about this place from my wife. I'll admit that I was always a little skeptical just because of the way it looks from outside. But, like they always say, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Food was real good! I had the marinated steak over rice, it was delicious. And for a lunch portion, it was just the right size. My wife had the pho which she says was also good, but it was an overly generous portion as she wasn't able to finish it (she usually gets the lemongrass beef and raves about that!). Overall, food quality and price were right on.100% going back with my...
