I'm a big fan of this place. It's a fried chicken buffet. How could you go wrong. They have lots of options on the buffet. Fried gizzards, chicken livers, Buffalo wings, fried fish, baked chicken, and chicken tenders. And those are a lot of my favorites. They also have gumbo. Plus all the sides like collared greens, beans, rice, cabbage, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with white and brown gravy, and really, really good yeast rolls. The ice cream is just ok, but it goes great with the peach cobbler and bread pudding. All of this plus a full salad bar with fresh salad, dressing, coleslaw, and the usual dressing plus tartar and cocktail sauce. Jello and pudding are out there, too. They have a drive-through that's always busy, and lots of staff making sure that the restaurant is taken care of inside and out. This location is the one closest to my house, and it's a regular spot for us. A great place to bring your kids because they will definitely find something they will like. If you don't like buffets, they have a regular menu that you can pick and choose whatever you want. If you're a fan of fried chicken and like a great choice of sides, this place should be on your list. It's a favorite of mine, and I dream of...
Read moreFood was under cooked, and been sitting... new freshly made food piled up on old food that you could tell had been on the stream table for awhile. Rude front counter staff... little girl cashier wearing glasses with dark hair in braids, took a to-go order at the front counter... comes over to the buffet table where I am making my dine in plate to get the order together, doesn't wait, doesn't ask if she can get through, or even say excuse me... just reaches over me and my tray to get her Styrofoam to-go container.. and again reaches across my plate to get an order of green beans for her order. I told her thank you for reaching across my food to make your order, that was really rather ride off you.. and she walks off mumbling under her breath. Staff needs to be retrained on customer service apparently, and the kitchen help needs to learn to cook the...
Read moreCost us about $8 each for buffet (cheaper than two meals at Burger King) Very good food, all you can eat buffet with plenty of options and salad/desert bar. The food is a combination of Texan and southern Louisiana creole. We’re from souther Louisiana and were shocked how close they got some of there dishes to authentic creole, it’s not common around here. They should really change there name, we almost went somewhere else because the name was somewhat misleading “chicken buffet” The buffet had pasta, red beans and rice, gumbo, catfish, spicy wing, fried and baked chicken, chicken strips, rolls, veggie creole, potato salad etc. Very well worth the price, food was exceptional, service is very nice, and restaurant is clean. I give 5 stars and would recommend this place to anyone, especially if looking for “home-style...
