Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Texas City

Place isn't any good to order pizza at all period. It has a whole bunch of grown men working there doing nothing but talking and playing around I was the 1st person to order a large pizza then before I knew it 45 minutes later the whole lobby was full of people there wondering where their orders were at themselves. The manager ignored me countless times when I kept asking them for my money back because I found out they haven't started making my pizza yet then when I finally got his attention he raised his voice at me then bucked up aggressively to me saying he's 40 years old and don't play no games. I'm a grown man myself and 40 years old as well so my natural reaction was to stand up to the manager and defend myself because all I was asking for was my money back so I can go somewhere else. But since he seen he wasn't scaring no one with his aggression he quickly turned the tables around on the situation he created and started playing the victim roll and grabbed the phone then called the police accusing me of being the aggressor and all I wanted was my money back after waiting over 45 minutes until they finally decided they wanted to start making my large pizza I ordered. That place isn't a good place to buy pizza from and I'm warning everyone now about them and especially the manager who acts hard because he thinks being 40 years old scares everyone but will run and call the cops quickly if you stand your ground and not run from his aggression he shows towards...

Used to be employed here, had to up my rating to one star in order to review/advise the public. Water damaged ceiling tiles above the food preparation area should serve as a visible warning to avoid this place. According to current employees who were there at the time, it happened 2 hurricanes ago and nothing was ever done to repair it. Wonder what is on the side that cant be seen, which also houses cooling ducts for air conditioning and heating? I have personally stepped on; and removed roaches, ants, spiders and also observed signs of rodents such as holes in walls and droppings. There have been rat poison pellets placed around in various spots recently. As of last week, there was still a dark, black colored slimy coating on the drain pipe coming out of the walk in cooler (which until recently wasn't sealed properly and was still being used for storing bulk stock and portions prepared for orders. I would highly recommend stopping by and asking the manager on duty for a quick tour before ordering again, to check the areas and issues I mentioned and see if they have been properly repaired and/or corrected, along with evaluating the overall cleanliness of the store in general. There are several other respectable chains and independents around town who would love the chance to earn your business and consistently serve high...

So I’m not one for giving any bad reviews usually I just let it go. But I placed an order online and my wife was going to pick it up on the way home from work. I got the update on my phone around 6:46pm that the pizza was in the oven. My wife arrive at the facility at 6:50. At 6:53pm I got a sms text that said the pizza was ready for pick up. I told my wife and they said they were still making it she waited longer and still nothing after 20 minutes she went up to the counter and told them that I told her it was ready @6:53 and they asked for an order number then they found out it was never placed in the oven it had just been sitting there. The staff was really rude as my wife stated and no one was really trying To be efficient. My wife also told me Cameron was the only one out of all 5 or 6 people there actually trying to do something and get the orders out quick so kudos to him. She also mentioned there was a door dasher waiting for the order he needed picked up. Something needs to be fixed here because they aren’t being efficient even on a slow day.
