I don't usually give bad reviews and I'm not giving one now however , my wife and I wanted something different last evening . It was the 2nd of April 2021 cool evening after some on off rain and we didn't want to go anywhere so we decided to call Rosario's for some lasagna and bread sticks , so that we did . We called in at 6:50 pm and ordered the momma Linda's lasagna and an 8 piece order of bread sticks and had decided on the canolli . I didn't get the young ladies name but we paid with my wife's card and they told us it would be between an hour and a half and 2 hours . Ok we said and hung up., Mrs Norma and I did some things around the place and decided to walk the dog around the time our meal was to be showing . We walk our furry family member and look at the time and no delivery driver . So we figure we would call to see if we did something wrong and get no answer . Only a recording telling the mailbox is full goodby . We call again same result . Wanted another hour and decided we weren't getting our meal . We snacked on some things had a beer and went to bed . I will update tomorrow .. Ok it is now 6:10 pm April 3 rd and we call Rosario's to see what happened . Another busy but kind young lady answered the phone after calling 3 times and hearing the same hang- up recording from the previous evening . Discouraged , I introduce myself and explane what had occured the evening before and the pleasant young lady promptly handled our problem I asked her name she said Addison and meaningfully hung up on me .. so we wait to see . That is what we are doing ,now 30 minutes later . We are going to walk our furry family member now and wait for another delivery person to show .. will let you know the out come....thanks for reading ... You will have to tune in later for the second instalment of this developing story ... Hello everyone I must apoligise for the delay in the 2nd instalment on the Rosario's saga. Mrs Norma and I have been extremely busy with purchasing our new chevrolet Tahoe the passing of my brother . Anyhow, we are back and trying to catch up on all we had going earlier this month . We left off on the evening of the third . After we walked our faithful companion Conagher my phone rang , It was a delivery driver for Rosario's asking directions . I explained the way and ended the call a few minutes later , up pulls a beautiful pearl white BMW sedan . As we looked on my bewilderment got the best of me and out of my mouth came . Honey , we need to start delivering pizza and Ravioli for Rosario's . I let him in the driveway and to my surprise , the driver was the owner himself . Yes the owner of the restaurant was delivering this night . I greeted him , he introduced himself . Of course I have to ask , what happened as he was making noise about his car . I soon figured out he had spilled some of the lasagna on his passenger seat and floor of his shiney Beamer . He then explained to me and gave his apoligise for the previous evening and explained he was indeed going to be doing some house cleaning with some of his staff . Not because he had to deliver . But because his underlings were not very subordinate . I thanked him and off he went into the early evening darkness . So there you have the 2nd and final deposit of our Rosario's debacle . It was a wonderful meal . I would still recommend Rosario's to everyone. After all , you can't always control people . For I have learned over the years . Just let people do what they want . It isn't your job to worry about what other people do even if it is wrong or right because both of them words are simply opinions .. thanks for reading ....
Read moreI've been going to Rosario's since when it was in its original location, a former Long John Silver's. That was the 1970s, and it's relocated twice since then and was sold. Since we moved to the other end of town, we've been going to other pizza places, but tonight I decided to give Rosario's a try, possibly out of nostalgia. Well, nostalgia is not all it's cracked up to be. To begin, there was only one other table occupied during prime-time dining on a Saturday night, which should have been a harbinger of what was to come, but we decided to stick it out. After all, we were only ordering pizza and salad. How bad could that be? As it turns out, "pretty bad" would be our answer. First of all, when I asked about the salad, the waitress asked us if we wanted to make it ourselves or have them make it. I asked what the difference was, and she went to find out. We could make our own for "three dollars and some change," or they could make it for "over six dollars." We chose the former. I went to the salad bar first and found a lot of very brown lettuce. All I put into a salad typically is lettuce, croutons, and dressing, so I dug through and found leaves that weren't brown. I warned my dining companion about the brown lettuce, and when he came back he said, "I see what you mean."Three dollars and some change" is too much for brown lettuce. If I had paid "over six dollars," I'd be really annoyed. For the pizza we ordered our usual: a large pepperoni with thin crust. What we were served didn't even cover the pizza pan. We thought we had been served the wrong pizza, but the waitress confirmed that it was a large. If that was a sixteen-inch pizza, my ability to use a ruler must be sorely lacking; furthermore, the crust was extremely thick and uneven, really high in some spots and low in others, but nowhere near the thin crust we requested. It was also very soggy. I tried to pick up a slice, but the whole thing collapsed. The flavor was non-existent, tasting like flour and little else. I can honestly say it was the worst pizza I have had in years. I'm Italian, born in Brooklyn, New York. I know pizza. This was bad. I try to support local places, but this meal was poor. Next time we want pizza, we will stick with our...
Read moreI ordered a margherita pizza from Rosario's on Sunday 7-26-20. I didn't care for the pizza when it was delivered but I ate a piece, just to see. It was as plain as it looked. No flavor whatsoever and definitely not what I expect for a margherita pizza. I called and spoke to the manager who said she would have to speak with the owner. I said, no problem. Monday, I go up there to return the pizza and talk to the manager in person. Again, she said there wasn't anything she could do as a manager without permission from the owner. So I left my name and number and they said they would call me when they found out what they could do to remedy the situation. I called every day of the week with Thursday being the exception. I finally got the owner on the phone today 7-30-20. He told me I ate the pizza, I ate 2 slices, the 2nd was to confirm the blandness of the first. I said no sir, I brought that pizza back minus two pieces Monday. He reiterated that there was nothing as the Owner he could do, instead I would have to go thru the delivery service Slice since I placed my order through them. His demeanor was horrible, his lack of concern for a customer was astounding and he told me to go ahead and tell people not to eat there, He doesn't care! So here I am. I have had pizza parties for my baseball team at this establishment and never had issues like this. We won't be going back anymore. I suggest you don't either unless you want low quality food with horrible customer service. Life long T.C. resident and former employee of Rosario's over a decade ago. Sad how it has...
