I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vinny's Original Brooklyn Bagels in Honesdale, PA, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with the delightful aroma of freshly baked bagels.
The variety of bagels on offer is impressive, with everything from classic plain and sesame to unique flavors. Each bagel is perfectly crafted – crispy on the outside and wonderfully chewy on the inside, just like a true New York bagel should be. I opted for an everything bagel with cream cheese, and it was absolutely divine.
The service at Vinny's is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about their craft. They work quickly and efficiently, ensuring that even during busy times, customers are served promptly without sacrificing the quality of their orders. They took the time to ensure my order was just right and even offered recommendations for future visits. It's evident that they put a lot of love and care into what they do.
In addition to the bagels, Vinny's offers a fantastic selection of spreads, sandwiches, and beverages. I also tried their lox and bagel sandwich, and it was out of this world – fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.
Overall, Vinny's Original Brooklyn Bagels is a gem in Honesdale. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates a quality bagel. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. Highly...
Read moreThe response from this business is an out right lie FIRST the said former employee was hired full time and was never given full time hours. SECOND… the cut to three days was given due to former employee having to miss TWO days during a family emergency and there is legal and medical documentation of events. The day and a half missed before that was at the request of employer because the now former employee was getting sick and was sent home after 3 hours and told not to go in the next day. So NO the employee was punished for a family emergency and was also told he should have given notice before needing the time off (apparently emergencies come with notices in this employers world)He even stalked me on my personal Facebook page to attack me because he got a one star review. He only made the comment on this one star review because his attack on Facebook failed. His food is sub par at best. His baked goods are premade not home made. He goes after anyone who won’t give him a good review. The only good thing about this business is Martin in Hawley who is a phenomenal human being. Other than that as you can see the owner is unprofessional and will make up lies and stories. Also. Think about why he can’t keep employees… his employee rotation is...
Read moreI recently visited a bagel shop in town and was extremely disappointed with both the taste of the bagels and the management. The bagels were dry, stale, and tasted like cardboard. I couldn't even finish one without feeling like I was chewing on a piece of rubber. It was clear that they were not freshly made and had probably been sitting out for hours.
But that wasn't the worst part of my experience. The owner of the shop was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When asked about the quality of the bagels, he became defensive and dismissive, insisting that they were fresh and that I simply didn't know good bagels when I tasted them. He even went as far as to imply that I was lying about my experience in order to get a free bagel.
The overall atmosphere of the shop was also unpleasant. The seating was uncomfortable and the decor was outdated and uninviting. The staff seemed unhappy and disinterested in providing good customer service.
Overall, I would not recommend this bagel shop to anyone. The poor quality of the bagels, combined with the rude and unprofessional management, make for a terrible experience that is not worth the...
