Planet Fitness — Local services in Texas Township

This is by far, the worst Planet Fitness I have ever had the experience of attending. I endured pure racial discrimination from this Planet Fitness location; from its entire managerial staff team. The general manager, the regional manager, the district manager and the area manager during the period of January 2024 - October 2024.

In my entire 20 years of being a Planet Fitness member, I have never been treated like this by any other location except this one. My membership was terminated at the Honesdale, PA Planet Fitness location without cause, without review, and without any justification. I did not commit any violation, all I did was go to the gym every morning and workout as a black man.

I was issued a letter via email to not step foot on "their"property, by Manager Jennifer Burns who has made false accusations and fraudulent allegations against me to get me removed from the gym. No one has ever verbally communicated with me regarding any incident, their was no surveillance camera review of my time there, just a pure ethnic cleanse of me from "their gym". I emailed member services several times, and had multiple communications with Corporate. Corporate stated that it is company policy that a member must receive a response from one of the managers on the managerial team from that location within 3-5 business days, it has now been months and still no resolve.

First time going to the one in honesdale I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Been to other planet fitness throughout the east cost and this was a different experience. Understanding it’s a franchise but no classes yet paying the same price as other planet fitness that offer classes. Second was infinites by the front desk when needing help. Lastly was bothered by an oddly looking older gentleman who says is he’s security. Not just by me but others walking in. This was truly not what I had expected from a plant fitness. Aside from that glad there’s one in the area. Just wish it like the other ones...

Use to go to ymca in Carbondale and don't get me wrong yes this is alittle pricey and yess I wasn't fawned of giving them my bank account thing but it beats driving hours on end to go to the gym, and on top of that it beats driving in the snow, have I stoped going recently yes would I join again absolutely, it isn't about attention or who you see at the gym, the gym isn't a play ground it's to to build yourself up as a human being and feeling good about yourself :) I would give another star if it wasn't expensive for this area but I rather that then driving to...
