My stepson told me about this place. He bragged about the catfish sandwich and stated the BBQ was good. My wife and I definitely had to try it out. The food was very good and the portions were very large. The brisket was tender and had a nice bark/taste. I was very impressed by the food served at Ace's. We will definitely be going back. Laid back environment and a nice place to bring family and friends. Great customer service with a smile. I forgot to mention the Mac and Cheese and Potato Salad. I just don't eat anyone's potato salad. Especially store bought stuff. Hated it. I love Ace's potato salad. Finally, in my opinion, potato salad made the way potato salad is supposed to be made. That Miracle Whip stuff, in my opinion, sucks. Sorry Miracle Whip lovers (Yucky). Thank you Jesus for great food. This is definitely Texas BBQ at its best. Don't forget to leave a good tip. Good BBQ is definitely a labor of love and very hard to find. Thanks for the love Ace's. I had to add more information to my post. My wife and I also went to the Ace Restaurant in Edinburg because it's closer to our home. I guess you can have the same name but not the same food. The Ace Restaurant in Edinburg was good but we noticed the potato salad in Edinburg wasn't the same potato salad they made in Mission. Both Ace restaurants our a great place to enjoy awesome BBQ. In my opinion, the Ace in Mission is definitely better. Sorry Edinburg. Just my opinion. You'll find the love at both locations but we felt more love at the Ace in Mission. I thank both locations for doing what they do but if I want the bomb potato salad, I'm going to Ace Restaurant in Mission. Just keeping it real. Peace.

I went by Aces BBQ with my wife for lunch. It's located on 495 between Taylor Rd. and Shary Rd. In Mission. Aces has been around for ten years and they know how to do BBQ. I've eaten here before and have never been disappointed, but today I wanted to try something different. When you walk in you head to the counter and place your order and the cashier brings you your order. Aces has signs advertising farm raised Catfish and I was feeling it, so I ordered it. My wife ordered the brisket tacos. My plate came with fries, Cole slaw, and house made tarter sauce. The fish was lightly breaded in corn meal and deliciously crispy. My wife's tacos came with lots of brisket, rice, pinto beans, and home made salsa. She really enjoyed them. I noticed the dessert cabinet when we ordered our lunch and the brownies looked really good, so when we finished our meals we shared one with ice cream. The brownies were not chewy but moist and had walnuts for a nice texture touch. I could have eaten another one, it was so good. The portions at Aces are generous so you definitely get your money's worth and you will leave satisfied.

Just placed order for puck and got almost there when they called to tell me that they had no ribs and if I would like to change my order which was fine bit I ordered brisket and after cutting off the fat and the raw meet off the top I had enough meet for a 1/2 sandwich. Pic is the top of the brisket which was raw as raw could be. Will never eat there again.

My experience here at this bbq restaurant was absolutely far below what I expected... My daughter and I went in to dine on January 18,2021 at about 3:00 p.m. I noticed the place was empty and three employees were standing at the counter and attended us quickly which was great! They were also polite ! All was going superb until I got my food šŸ˜ ! It was atrocious... I ordered the moist brisket plate with 2 sides ( potato salad and beans) I was totally disappointed in what and how I was served.. my food was accompanied by two slices of bread. I asked one of the girls if she could please substitute the bread for 2 corn tortillas she said no I can’t do it ( seeing the restaurant was empty it would have been in their best interest to retain a customer) Nope, not Aces ! I said okay and left the bread there. The moist brisket was actually rubbery and cold the potato salad didn’t have any taste or texture, the beans tasted like it had been sitting there since last night and the only great thing about my experience was my tea and the fact that they made my daughters chicken tenders fresh !...
