Bahama Buck's - Montgomery — Restaurant in Texas

My son and I came into this location Saturday night around 8pm. (09/28) We have been here before but living on the east side of the lake it takes us 30 minutes to get there. It was pretty dead when we got there but they had 4 teenagers manning the location.

They were doing a great job. The tables were all clean, the floors were clean and one of the employees was actively mopping the dining area. One of the girls were cleaning one of the machines when we came in. The bathroom was also clean.

They were friendly and greeted us when we came in. We needed a few minutes to see what we wanted but once it was time to order they got everything correct for both he and I.

It didn't take too long for the snowcones to come out. They had enough syrup, the ice was smooth and evenly sized so we loved our cones. My son got the smurf cone all the way and I got a basic make your own and am grateful they have sugar free "thin options" as well as I am cutting.

I am honestly surprised at some of the poor reviews, we had no problems the other visits and clearly the owner is listening to complaints because I saw an active, attentive staff that was working to keep the location running smoothly and cleanly. Common sense is not so common! I ordered 3 snow cones and they got the order wrong #1 , I waited 30 minutes before I got the first snow cone that should have been a flat top but they made it with a dome , I was taking it back home to my daughter that has the flu . It started melting into the console of my car while I was waiting on the other 2 snow cones which were also made incorrectly . I asked the girl at the window for an extra cup because the 1st snow cone started melting all over my console and she said NO , I’m not allowed to give you an extra cup!! I told her but I’ve been waiting here for thirty minutes and it’s MELTING all over my car! She said “hang on I’ll go get my manager” by that time I had a huge mess in my car! You dodo birds can pay to have my car cleaned to remove the sticky mess ! Maybe teach some common sense to your employees! Also I asked the girl working the window what type of artificial sweetener was used in your sugar free drinks and she told me it was sodium????? I’m baffled ! Not to mention the girl at the window kept pulling her shorts out of her crack because the were so short and tight. I love me some Bahama Bucks. But, this location is well below the status quo. Not enough syrup, not enough sprinkles, no little umbrellas. I usually throw it out, but that's that little specialty, that let's you know you're paying extra for a quality snow cone. Kinda like a sleeve, and a stir stick on your latte. The service is horrible. No smile, no courtesy, no kindness, not even a thank you. Just a rude teenager, that doesn't appreciate her job, and doesn't know she wouldn't qualify for a real job, with that attitude. Poor quality, and she doesn't care that you just dropped $25 for 4 snow cones. Now, the Huntsville location... That's where it's at. They do a great job. You feel justified paying their prices, and it's given with a smile. (And, a little umbrella.) I'll drive out of my way, to avoid this location. Do better. And, appreciate your job, and treat customers better, . I know these employees don't care if it shuts down, but Bahama Bucks does.
