Eh... pretty lame Pad Thai, in my opinion. I ordered the combination Pad Thai (didn't see it on the menu). I asked the young man behind the counter of it came with fried egg. He said he didn't know. I pointed to the description of the dish, on the menu, and he said "well if it says it, then it does". I was specifically asking if it came with a fried egg on top, which is the only way I've ever had it anywhere else. He said "I don't know, I've never..like.. ordered it." Verbatim, just like that. So I stated.. "Well, you work here, so can you ask?". He did go in the back and ask and then said no, but could add it for an extra charge. I elected yes, add it. I also noticed all the employees couldn't wait to put their face down in their phone after any bit of human interaction, instantly. Except, one young girl, who appeared to be the waitress, waiting on tables and walking in and out of the back. Some other young man was walking in and out of the back and when he'd enter the dining area, he'd sit down and put his face in what appeared to be some type of hand-held gaming console. Employees just seemed detached and distracted, big time. The pad thai was basically just brown noodles, some meat, and my egg on top. The egg was probably the most appetizing looking part about it. I added that, remember. And it wasn't very good. I wouldn't order it again. I've added a photo of a competitor pad thai, just for reference (what it's supposed to look like). The lousy looking one is the one I got from Bao's tonight. 👎

After a long day of work decided to treat me and my mom to some Chinese food tonight. The order was for pickup. We got Sesame chicken, General Tso, Fried rice as our sides and an order of fried spring rolls. The most basic order and it was terrible. The chicken pieces are huge, the size of a golf ball and lack luster. It had no taste. It was not crispy and the outer layer was soft. No effort given. I’ve never gotten Chinese before like this where the chicken wasn’t even crispy. I bit into one piece and hit a tough piece of chicken (I’ll have to call it cartilage).Threw it away. Should have gotten a picture of it, gross. The fried rice was bland and just seemed like they threw some white rice in oil and called it a day. And the spring roll was greasy and stale. Hard to bite into. Not crispy. We are both highly disappointed to spend $40 for such a terrible meal. It doesn’t even come with veggies on the side, for all the money you spend. We enjoyed NOTHING we ordered. We typically don’t eat out so this was our treat. We were better off just buying a bag of HEB frozen Sesame chicken and General Tso. We would have been actually been satisfied. It’s not even worth a one star. We won’t be back.

Absolutely delicious. I dined in on a whim on a Monday at 2pm. There was nobody here eating except me really so I had a nice quiet lunch. But the food was what really threw me for a loop. Based on reviews I thought it may be your classic greasy Chinese food, which I was kinda craving. But it was SO flavorful. I had the bbq pork appetizer and the orange chicken lunch. The wonton soup didn’t look like anything special at first glance but was very flavorful and so satisfying. The bbq pork was tender and rich, and came with a wonderful tangy sauce. And the orange chicken was just as flavorful and tender. I’m used to subpar places delivering squishy or chewy (in a bad way) orange chicken. Now I’m mad I’ll be moving away from this place cause it was absolutely a gem hidden in plain sight! Don’t skip this place, absolutely fresh and delicious!

Late last night, I realized I forgot to go to the store and there was no idea's for dinner so it was either Spring Asian cuisine or Bao's Cafe. Husband wanted to try out Bao's Cafe, this was 30 minutes before they closed. I ordered Crab Ragoons, Fried Rice special and Shrimp Lo mien, thinking that's a safe order. They were very quick to my house which made me concerned about the food. I opened the bag and this weird smell filled the entire house I had to open windows and febreeze sections of the house it was strong but we tried eating it anyways. We paid for it after all. Crab Ragoons were standard which is still good in my opinion but the Fried rice, lo mien and the meat that came with it, tasted off. It was a bit chewy almost like it was undercooked. I became nauseated actually, but that could have been from the smell. I lost my appetite completely, put it in the fridge and will figure out what to do tomorrow. So the next day I went to the store, got my grocery's, and thought if it’s overcooked why don’t I cook it some more in my wok, the worst is I throw it away anyways. I cut up some broccoli, tomatoes, and jalapenos. Added little amounts of chili garlic, some sriracha. Tossed the whole thing and voila, it was delicious. And the smell was still there but once I started cooking it out of the Rice / Lo mien it dissipated. I rather a restaurant turn me away than serve me undercooked food. I haven’t asked for a refund because it did serve a meal after all, even though I had to cook it. Maybe it was a fluke or not their best day. I hope they get better but right now I wouldn’t...
