(Edit: they only respond for appearances, they have no interest in actually rectifying the situation. i have not actually received a reply to the email sent on july 17th. It is now August 2nd.) My friend came down to houston from out of state, and is vegan, so, in search for vegan options, we came across Bellagreen. The reviews are good, the menu sounded good, my wife has been in a different location before, and it seemed like a good option for the three of us. Walking in, the manager, whos name i didnt catch, was honestly nice. As a queer person, it was nice to see a fellow queer person in a position of management. I say that to explain that because of this, I was saddened and hesitant to leave this review.. at least at first. Firstly, there werent many drink options, and the tea was awful. (At first we thought it was a recipe issue, but what happened later now makes me believe the tea mightve been spoiled.) It couldve been the hunger, but the cauliflower wings were simply delicious. Despite the drink issues, the cauliflower gave us hope for the rest of the meal. The pizzas arrived well after we finished the wings and it was raw. You could see it was raw by looking at it, but we thought, hey, maybe it just looks light. We eat it and its raw, the toppings wouldnt even stay on the dough. It was chewy, it was bland, it was horrible. I go and share this with the manager, he just offers a refund for the pizzas. I accept it. I go back and try my pineapple mango rice bowl and this was the final straw. The beans were spoiled and rotten. You could taste and smell that it was spoiled so i know for a fact they smelled how spoiled they were before even bringing it to me. Being in texas leads to a lot of discrimination, and this truly almost felt personal. Anyone who has ever accidentally lost some beans due to spoiling can tell you it stinks up the whole neighborhood, so its impossible to think that the smell of rotten beans wasnt present in the kitchen as it was served. I also dont believe the white woman who brought it to me couldnt smell it. I was highly upset. At this point I also notice there was dust all around us and the place was all around dirty. I speak to the manager in a calm tone, i even ask him to smell the beans so he can see im not being dramatic, and he just hands it off to someone and gives me a refund. There was no apology, there was no offer for a comp for the meal, no offer of a discount or gift card, no offer of giving the restaurant another opportunity to make up for this horrible first time visit, and no acknowledgedment of how disgusting and disrespectful it is to give someone raw pizza and then follow it up with spoiled rotted beans. I dont think they deserved a penny, but I accepted the very specific $66 refund i was given. As we were figuring out where to go eat, considering i just paid $81 and am still hungry, the manager mean mugs us while we're sitting at the table. It made my friend uncomfortable so, as we leave, the staff also mean mugs us. As if WE did something wrong. As if i didnt pay for what we did eat and we're some sort of scammers. As if i yelled or cussed at someone, when i, check the cameras even, truly didnt. I was going to let it go, but when they mean mugged us on our way out, i realized my kindness and patience was not at all appreciated. Im never coming back. In the photos you can see the white bottom on the pizza, indicating rawness regardless of lightly golden top, and some of the dusty surfaces all around us. I did not get a picture of the burnt pineapple mango bowl, however. Although Im sure you couldve probably smelled it from the picture..

This by far is one of my favorite spots . I usually visit the one in the Galleria with my sister who is actually responsible for introducing me to this jewel . I was so excited to learn there was one not far from my home so I decided to rush over and visit . This was the perfect spot to meet a close friend of mine and introduce him to great food . Needless to say that’s where the excitement ended . We both left that night with major disappointment and decided we will not be back due to the lack of hospitality and courtesy given by their kitchen manager Julio . I was so outraged after leaving I immediately got online and submitted a request for a follow up . Although the food is outstanding , the establishment lacks the ability to accommodate paying customers when asking for to go items . I would highly recommend to avoid this location and perhaps visit others in the area . I will say that the team lead Brooke and the other attendant Crystal were very professional and friendly however, orders were given from the kitchen manager to avoid granting our request of a dressing to go to accommodate my salad I purchased after dining in . It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced. Who leaves a restaurant and is expected to eat a dry salad?

I was in the area and wanted a burger. A Google comment led me to this place. I arrived. From the outside, it seemed busy. There was no contact curbside, outdoor and indoor dining. Once inside, the location felt like the spa of restaurants. Everything was clean and refreshing. Masks and social distancing was practiced. The team member suggested items. I chose the V burger with fries. chose a high table outside. I was in awe of the entrees being delivered to the tables around me. The presentation was lovely. I tried a chipotle peach sauce for my burger and fries. It was ahhhhmazing!!!! 2nd visit last week. The ambiance, service, and food was great. The curry chicken salad should be called Carrot Raisin Almond Salad with grilled chicken. The title is misleading. I could not taste the curry. The salad was delicious. The poppyseed cheesecake was pretty ahhhh-mazing.

Sooo good! Wonderful selections, especially for those with specific diet needs. My mom and I both had the spicy chicken tacos and loved them. I accidently dug in before taking a shot so I simply took one of my empty plate, haha! Just enough spice to get your nose to drip a little but not so much it blew your brains out. After seeing the selection of teas and special sodas, I went back to purchase a drink and glad I did. I had to sample them all of course and the only one I didn't like was the mandarin orange soda but I think the syrup might have been out. Since the sodas are free from dyes, there is no way to tell except by taste. We even allowed ourselves the sharing of the pumpkin cheesecake. No way were we prepared for the presentation of this divine dessert! Yum all the way! A must eat experience for every time I get to come visit my daughter :)

Bellagreen is an American Bistro that serves meals made from scratch and uses sustainable practices to reduce waste and their environmental impact. You order upfront, take a number, seat yourself, and your food is brought out to you once ready. I appreciate their practices and their dishes. Pictured below are the Chicken Parmesan and the Sweet Potato Mash. On my previous visits, I tried their Roasted Butternut Squash & Brussels Sprouts Bowl and Autumn Galette. These are all delicious choices, and the latter two which are on their seasonal menu really bring out the flavors of Autumn. I was looking for a restaurant that serves meals made from fresh ingredients that don't cost you an arm and a leg and I think Bellagreen's mission is to serve people like me, so that makes me grateful. I's like to return to try the rest of their menu and update as I go.

The spicy fish tacos were delicious ! The poblano corn bisque was delicious as well, but a little too watery for my taste. Would have been better if it was a bit more thick. The hempanadas were over cooked and extremely crispy so I couldn’t eat the whole thing and enjoy them. The filling seemed kind of bland with not a lot of flavor, but the sauces were delicious. 4 flavors of iced tea and they were all very good. The somewhat industrial interior design is great ! The floors still had food from the previous people. There was a table with dirty plates and a mess that was still there when I left an hour later. The place was not busy at all so I’m not sure why it wasn’t cleaned. Quiet and enjoyable atmosphere since there was just a few other people. In my opinion it is over priced. Probably will not return just for that reason.
