BlackJack's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Texas

First time here, and will be the last. We sat down at our chosen table. A waitress was currently taking another tables order. 1 table was already attended too, as they had their food. Which was the table in front of us. Then the waitress came to them, acknowledged them to see if they needed anything. Meanwhile we are sitting at our table with no menus, just sat down, and just looked passed us. As if we were not sitting at the table. That same waitress proceeded to the back of the bar, and attended to the "bar" patrons sitting there. Including 2 new customers who came in 5 minutes after we sat down. They were acknowledged and serviced within seconds of sitting down. With the same waitress just looking at us, still looking past us, as if we did not exist. 10 minutes after we arrived, and after another customer notified the 2 wait staff/bartender behind the bar, that we were waiting for someone. One of them finally came to our table to see what we wanted. Gave her our order, that came within good time. As well as the chips and salsa. Which was pretty good. Chips was warm, and salsa was good with flavor and spice. The crawfish, and drinks were pretty good. The service was the only thing lacking here. If that was on par, along with the food. I have been coming to blackjacks almost every Wednesday for about 4 years. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences until today 6/29/2022. Hailey, who they apparently hired 3 weeks ago was incredibly rude and unpleasant in every aspect. No ‘Hello’ but simply “Let me see your ID”. Which is fine I suppose because thats her job, only she began to harass our group throughout the night. Even though everybody in our party presented ID before we ordered drinks she randomly came to our table 2 hours in to the night and demanded that we present them again. To which nobody objected, but then she began to threatened to take drinks away from people because she had not seen an ID from one person even though it was presented to the other bartender Bree (who is amazing by the way). When we tried to explain this to her, she angrily tried to defend herself by saying “its my job” and exclaimed not to snatch ID’s from her. We were all taken aback because none of us were being confrontational in any way. She was simply angry for some reason and she took it out on us. By all means go to this bar, its a wonderful place but avoid Hailey if you can. If we are all lucky, she will...

I usually visit on Thursdays but I chose to visit on a Wednesday and apparently there is a different menu on Wednesdays. I ordered a grill chicken sandwich add pickles and I got a fried chicken sandwich with only pickles and Mayo. I checked what I ordered and it was wrong then I was told they are out of chicken so couldn’t make my order properly. I asked if I could order in food or bring food into the establishment and I was told yes, but when I left to get food because “they were out of chicken” to fix my order my husband was informed to inform me I couldn’t bring in food. So I ate my food in the car only to see someone else enter the establishment with food later on.

Problems are

no chicken or kitchen is closed so can’t fix a wrong order…

You can bring food or you can’t bring food or we choose who we allow to bring food
