I have to admit I'm one of those people who have to review everything when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING 🤦🏾‍♀️ so I did so much research on this place before my wife and I went 🌈😘🌈 and what they said I was still skeptical this place was truly amazing due to covid I no longer Dine- In anywhere so I placed the to-go order over the phone she was absolutely amazing very friendly I had so many questions she answered every one of my questions very kind person once we arrived they welcomed us the minute we got to the boot to pay for our food once we got home we couldn't wait to try the food and it was absolutely amazing we was not disappointed at all Because I don't know lately this must be a thing to Pile hell of garlic on seafood and for some reason someone said that was so good NO that is definitely something we do not want we were sooo hoping it wouldn't be like that we were so happy it was not like that the flavor was absolutely amazing we've gone back twice both times I got the juicy cuisine special for $38 and my wife got the For You Special for $50 you definitely received a nice amount of food one visit my sauce was mild the other visit it was medium both was amazing flavor the seasoning was I got was Juicy Special now it has a little bit of garlic in the sauce it was the perfect amount I definitely recommend and they muscles are to die for that was my first time ever tasting muscles and I was hoping they will be on point and I won't be disappointed thankfully I wasn't I saw with some people say they are a bit pricey it's seafood I'm like you get what you pay for you definitely get a nice amount of food for its price I'm one to never be full on seafood alone each time I got full and had leftovers the next day I definitely recommend if you do have leftovers to warm them up on the stove in boiling water while they're in the bag they will be just as fresh as if you bought them then and there but I may add their shrimp both times they were really flavorful but they were on the tuff side but other than that location is somewhat on the new side staff is friendly very clean like I say we did not dine in but I love what I saw for the few moments we were there definitely recommend this place

Restaurant opened up recently and the family was curious about it. We have been looking for nice seafood place. After we were seated, we waited 10 mins for a server but no server came to our table. Then manager, Devid, passed by and took our drink order. Finally, server came and took our order. She made it up by being attentive the rest of our visit and asking if we need drink refills, etc. For our meal: Appetizers: dozen raw oysters. Normally we prefer East coast oysters because of the sweet smooth taste however we knew these were gulf oysters because of the distinct aroma. Order #1: fried catfish - perfectly fried, moist and tender but a tad salty. Not sure if it tasted like catfish as we had catfish in Louisiana which tasted meatier... Order #2: pick 2- green mussels and lobster, came with 2 potatoes and corn. We asked for JC season sauce (Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper (you can choose one or all)) and spicy level: hot. Nice heat but way too much garlic and butter plus it was very salty. Mix feelings about the green mussels as the larger ones were overcooked and chewy and the smaller ones were tender. Lobster was decent. Order #3: Juicy Cruise Special with JC sauce and medium spiciness. Too much garlic and butter and very salty to my taste. Good flavor though. The shrimp was cooked well, black mussels were a little small but decent, and the best was the dungeness crab where you have to work to extract the meat from the shell. Love the sweetness of the crab. The portion was quite filling and it came with 1 potato, 1 corn, and 3 eggs. I didn't quite understand the inclusion of the eggs but assuming it was a filler. Overall, it was ok and a bit pricey. I would come back to try other items on the menu and request less garlic in my seafood boil. Probably will choose one type of seasoning instead of all of the above to avoid being overly salty.

Let me start by saying that the food is absolutely delicious, like crazy good, I mean better than most Cajun places or any seafood place that I’ve had in Houston that tout their food as being Cajun in any way. The service is slow AF! And if you order something fried, it’s gonna come out 15 minutes after your boil plates, which is insane since most of the kids want fried shrimp - how are you gonna be halfway done with your meal before your kids food even comes out? I asked the server we had why they didn’t put the fried food order in first and then wait 10 minutes and put the boiled order in if they knew the price I took longer so that the food will come out at the same time and the response was, I don’t know. Zero common sense! But the pièce de résistance? I had to give a five dollar cash deposit in order to be able to use some crab crackers to crack open my crab so that I would be able to eat what I ordered. I’m not lying. I literally had to hand the server a fiver to get some crackers. We were told that the manager didn’t speak English and required a $5 cash deposit from each server for every cracker they asked for. How is a seafood restaurant whose logo is a crab, that serves crab in several ways, not going to provide metal silverware and crackers for people to be able to crack open the crab that they order?!?! Y’all. This is some hot mess right here. Moral of the story, bring your own silverware and crab-crackers so that you can enjoy your meal. Otherwise you’re going to be extremely pi$$ed off.

Date: 28 Dec 22 Time 7:40pm until close Server Myria W Manager Darius Location: 6501 Hwy 6 North, Houston, TX 77084 Guests approximately 18

Last night was my Granddaughters 16th birthday and she waned to have her dinner at The Juicy Crab. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait of approximately 1 hour, but the place was not busy at all [plenty of open tables]. When I asked why the long wait, the host explained to me they did not have servers. I asked the manager if we could have a seat at the large empty table and wait there, with the understanding that we would have any service until there was a server available. I was fine with that, but the manager said No, and I asked why not. Darius said it was The Juicy Crab policy not to have customers at the tables without being served. We finally were permitted to sit at the table, and we had to clean the table [there was food and grease on the tablecloth] and change the greasy food covered paper tablecloth ourselves. Then we waited for a server. The drinks were flat, minimal carbonation and in desperate need of calibrating. I first ordered a coke then changed to a sprite, same thing. Everyone ordered their food. We had to ask for then go to the bar to get drink refills. When I went to get my drink refilled Darius waited on another customer, that came in after I had been standing there waiting. Someone else finally got me a refill. After quite a bit of time we finally received out food. It was all cold to warm; we order fried and steamed food items. No one complained, we were just ready to leave. We did not receive plasticware [ever after asking]. We had to ask for straws, plasticware, drink refills, missing food. Now the checks arrive, Myria handed each person their own check, that was fine. After looking over the checks, we were charged for things we did not receive or order and there were some other discrepancies on the checks. When we brought it to Myria’s attention she quickly got an attitude, so we asked for a manger. Darius would not come to us, so we had to go with him, this man actually started yelling at me when I was asking him about pricing questions for the same amount of food. Darius was telling me something about when you put it in the system that it what it comes up with, and I was telling him the menu says something else. He cannot effectively explain the menu or their portions, so he starts yelling at me saying, “It just is, and you people have been nothing but trouble since you have been here.’ I am sick of this”. And walks off from me. First, I do not appreciate being yelled at by any person, let alone management as I am the customer, then given bogus numbers to corporate. He needs to be fire, apparently, we are not the first customers he has been extremely rude and aggressive to. The very least he needs extensive training and coaching on your policies, procedures, extensive menu training [“it just is”, is not a viable explanation]. Anger management & customer courtesy, as he would appear to have problems controlling his temper, when asked a question and has not have a clue as to what the answer is. Apparently in the Juicy Crab world .5 and 1/2 is not the same thing,...

Go to the Willowbrook location. NOT HERE!!

I recently dined at the restaurant on Hwy 6 and my experience was a very disappointing, largely shaped by the ownership and management of the establishment.

I must highlight that the wait staff and cook staff are undoubtedly the stars of this show. The culinary delights served at this location, as well as the Willowbrook branch, are truly exceptional. It's unfortunate that the positives end there for this particular location.

The ownership and management decisions have left a significant dent in what could have been a stellar dining experience. While the food itself earns this place a solid three-star rating, it's thanks to the remarkable flavors and presentation that it even reaches this mark. Without the culinary prowess, I'd have easily settled on a one or two-star rating.

Understaffed Wait Staff: The glaring issue starts with the ownership's decision to skimp on the number of wait staff on the floor. With only 2-3 wait staff handling the entire dining area, it's no surprise that the overworked team struggled to attend to customers in a timely manner. Long stretches of waiting became the norm as the waitstaff hustled between tables. Even worse, the absence of a bartender to manage drink orders was evident. Watching an untrained waiter fumble with pouring a simple beer is certainly not the experience one expects. Penny pinching at its finest.

Crab Leg Conundrum: Our table encountered a perplexing situation when three of us ordered crab legs. The ownership's peculiar policy, limiting one Seafood Cracker per table, left us sharing a single cracker between three people. This not only hampered our dining experience but also showcased a lack of customer-centric approach. Another terrible attempt to save money.

Utensil Shortage: Another peculiar oversight was the absence of metal utensils. The inability to provide a fork for extracting meat from crab legs reflected poorly on the restaurant's preparedness and attention to detail. Also in an attempt to save money.

In light of these issues, I wholeheartedly suggest opting for the Willowbrook location if you're seeking a more enjoyable dining experience. I have not tried either of the other two Juicy Crab locations in the Houston area. But at Wilowbrook, There, the management decisions appear to be more balanced, resulting in a smoother and more enjoyable visit. While the food remains the standout aspect at this Hwy 6 branch, the overall experience could significantly improve with better management decisions and a focus on...
