For a restaurant in a chain that has a very simple menu, this particular location is operated very poorly, possibly the worst Chipotle in the entire San Antonio market. The food here is mediocre and compared to other Chipotle locations, it's almost as if the staff in the kitchen just don't understand the recipes or preparations to make the food taste it's best.
I prefer to always eat Chipotle as a dine in experience, because the food quality is better when it's consumed right after it's put in the bowl or burritos. My experience here is that every time I have dined in at this location, the staff always seems short handed and frustrated. There should be two people and a cashier working the line, not just a single person that has to make an order and then also take payments, especially during dinner service when I have witnessed and experienced simply waiting in line 10 minutes just the place the order.
The WHOLE POINT OF CHIPOTLE is to deliver a fast experience with great quality ingredients and this particular location fails at that, as well as failing to deliver a simple smile on their face, a clean dining room, or even a dry and stocked drink station.
I was very excited when this location was being built, but it has been open for a long enough period of time that the basic issues with training and service should have been improved a long time ago. I am clearly not the only one that thinks this, because it isn't an accident or a mistake that this location has a 2.7 rating on Google reviews.
Honestly, what can be done? Close this place down, fire 50% of your managers and low performing staff. Reboot, do a Re-Grand Opening and start getting involved in the community. Right now, nobody in Potranco...
Read moreCame here on a Friday evening and it was chaos. This was around 7pm. They look very understaffed. They were running around trying to get things done as quick as possible. They were running out of things like cheese and chips. The service counter was filthy with lettuce tomatoes and cheese just everywhere. But it was when the register person comes over and with her bare hands just scrapes off the service counter pushing it all on to the floor I just couldn't go through with my order. You would think that Friday night rush hour there would be more than 4-5 people on staff. People just started walking out. There were like 8 or so cars stuck in the drive through. What a disaster.
UPDATE: So tonight 11/7/2023 I thought I would give them another try. I went online to try to make an order and was met with ZZZ (online ordering unavailable / No Dine-In) This was at 6:30PM! While all other Chipotles were open according to their website. So, I drive by this location since it's just down the road and there is 5+ employees sitting around in an empty restaurant while McDonalds next door has a line of cars around the corner taking orders. I don't get it is this location a hoax? Some kind of crazy tax write off or are the allergic to customers? Let me know, please I'm dying for something a little better...
Read moreTo the server who started her shift around 5pm at this location. The one who I watched serve five people before me and gave them good portions sizes and then got to me and decided to be skimpy then when I asked for another scoop to make it an ACTUAL portion size you told the cashier to double charge me but then the server catches and attitude with me for having her remake my order. You’re very unprofessional. I was nothing but respectful and polite to you the entire time. My instructions were clear you just wanted to be funny and up-charge me. I could have held the line up and made you remake my order but I decided to get to the back of the line with no problem or attitude and you still gave me one. The only one that had a valid excuse to have an attitude was me and I didn’t. You’re showed nothing but unprofessionalism, you were very snippy and very stingy with the portion sizes with me and no one else. If you don’t like your job, get a new one and with that attitude, don’t be around customers if you don’t want to serve the community or if you want to discriminate, then get out of that position because nobody is forcing you to be there. I do thank the lovely cashier who was very respectful...
