Danny's Restaurant Sharyland — Restaurant in Texas

I’m so disappointed with the experience we just had at Danny's Mexican Restaurant in Mission. My boyfriend and I decided to just drive around and look for a good Mexican restaurant to try and we came upon this place. Didn’t check reviews which was my mistake. Took a few minutes to receive any service which wasn’t even the worst part. We decided to get a botana for 1 which is $18 and a plate of cheese enchiladas with was $9. We don’t mind these prices when the food is worth it and in this case it wasn’t, the botana was the most disappointing thing we got. I understand it’s for one but come on for the price this was a rip off. The plate it was served in was devised in 3 one side had the rice the middle had the botana and the other side had the beans. We’ve gotten botanas for 1 before and they are never served all in one plate. This botana lacked everything, hardly any chips, cheese or vegetables. The picture shows how they added chips on top of the rice to make it seem like it was more than what it actually was. The 2 jalapeños was all there was on the entire plate with a few slices of onions and bell peppers and the little scoop of guacamole. The enchiladas were nothing special. On top of the service being horrible and never getting refills on our drinks the other servers started mopping the section where we were sitting which was empty except for one other table and us, so on top of eating this ridiculous bland tasting food we had to accompany it with the smell of dirty mop and pine-sol. I thought that maybe they were closing since it was around 1:45 but no I checked and they close at 9. Over all horrible experience I asked for a manager when paying but there was no one in charge so...

Today around 2:15pm. This is very disturbing to find out that this is not any ordinary restaurant like others. My little 3 girl dropped her chocolate milk by accident and my wife quickly got up to assist with what she could by getting the Caution Sign cone and brought it close by our table where the spill was. Little did we know the waitress had charged us 2x for the accidental chocolate milk spill without letting us know. When we check the bill we asked our waitress about the extra chocolate milk and she said for us to speak with the manager upfront at the cashier charging people. So we did that and the manager told us that they charged us the extra chocolate milk as a refill!! We explained calmly and nicely that other restaurants do do that and would be bad customer service for accidentals on the customers and explained that the waitress did not disclose that neither about the extra charge and still the manager just looked down and cold blooded just refused to remove that extra charge… this is unexceptional for a restaurant to do this to their loyalty customers but this was the last straw we take from them because every time we go we have the same issues. We are no longer going back to them. Wanted to let everyone know around the valley to beware and know what they are...

The one star for this place is reserved for the waitress who served us....make not the mistake we made, there is better food elsewhere.

We stopped here on a whim...my wife and I would always pass by it do we decided to finally try to our regret.

I had the enchiladas and a carne guisada taco..my wife was craving a chimichanga style burrito, covered in chili sauce. Well, my carne guisada was bland in the taco, along with the rice and beans. The enchiladas were decent. My wife literally said that their chimichanga was basically a Stripes burrito covered in sauce with cheese. Not the best recommendation...I tasted it and agreed.

To top it off...I ordered a small menudo. Check the photo ..I was almost done with it when surprise! There was a small piece of paper from a Sweet N Low packet hiding out in the bottom...I understand accidents can happen but it seems like these are patterns here and not accidents. The waitress asked if I wanted another menudo... really? Will it come with another sugar packet? How about offering to take it off my tab? Nope...

RIP to the original founder of the place... unfortunately this place does not do anything...
