On 8/17 I ordered take out. I arrived, went inside to pickup which I was told they were putting the pizza in now and it would be 10minutes. I waited 12 minutes, went back to the counter to which I was told, “I’m putting it in now, it’ll be 10minutes”. I went, sat down again and waited. I went to the front after 10minutes to which I waited an additional 7minutes before someone walked up to greet meet (please note, during these 7minutes of me waiting a homeless man walked in, stood behind me for a few seconds then walked over to the buffet, grabbed a bunch of food and walked out, he didn’t wash his hands or nothing). When I was handed my 2 pizzas and 2 cinnamon pizzas the comment from the worker was made, “foot traffic made us busy”. I finally get home to enjoy my meal only to find that a fly had been baked into my pizza. This is horrible…I couldn’t eat any of it because obviously this location can not be trusted for sanitary or safe food, smh. Total waste of money and time.
Follow up to the reply: So not only are you all NOT SANITARY you guys are also LIARS that WILL ACCUSE A CUSTOMER OF LYING. I am simply going to prove to everybody reading this that you’re a liar…when did double Dave’s start having paper plates at there buffet? Because that’s clearly what my pizza is on….meaning I was at HOMMMEEEE. Also, you stated I didn’t get a veggie pizza and I only got two pizzas..please view the SECOND PICTURE I just added proving I had TWO VEGGIE pizza and 2 cinnamon pizza as I stated in the original post. When you’re going to lie, at least have your lie together. Smh. As the “owner”, you should try and do better..Have a great day ladies and gentlemen. So please take legal action, I’m begging you. Went to get drinks only Orange Crush and Diet Pepsi worked. No sweet tea just regular tea. When I ordered I said sweat tea and the girl didn't tell me that they didn't have any. I went back up to the counter and another lady was there I asked for sweet tea. She yells to the back anybody make sweet tea. Guy says we don't do that anymore it clogs our drains. I asked for a refund for my drink. Went to get Pizza and there were two partial pizza's on the small buffet area both had jalepeno's on them. I went up and asked for some plain kid friendly pizza's. They brought out a pineapple pepperoni and a shrimp pizza about 15 minutes later. I went back up to the front and said I have a starving 4 year old can you PLEASE put a plain sausage or pepperoni pizza on the buffet. 15 minutes later they brought out 1 pepperoni pizza and 1 barb que chicken pizza. Luckily I got 1 slice for my grandson. I was tired of arguing and begging for kid appropriate pizza so we left. So we paid $30.00 dollars for 3 slices of pizza and 2 drinks. No salad on the buffet and restaurant was on the verge of being filthy. At any given time there were no more than 4 pizza's on the buffet at any given time. We don't go out for pizza often but our grandson asked for pizza. We will NEVER go to another Double Dave's again. This was the one on Louetta and Stuebner -Airline in Klein Texas. I put my carryout order in between 15-20 minutes before I arrived to this location. I got a large half pepperoni, half Italian sausage thin crust pizza, and a steak Stromboli. Upon arrival, my pizza was missing half the sausage. My pizza needed to be remade even though I had already given them more than enough time to get my order correct the first time. I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the new pizza, all while a staff member had to announce to the school kids their new "no loitering" policy in front of me and other customers.
A staff member quietly brought me my remade pizza and Stromboli. He said "we're so sorry for the trouble, here." and handed me my order and just walked away. I assumed this was their way of making up for their mistake, as they didn't ask for payment. To my surprise the pizza looked disgusting when I inspected it in my car. Hardly any toppings and two slices of pizza didn't have any cheese or sause or topping on them. At least it was free I thought.
About 5 min down the road I got a call from double daves that I haven't paid for my order. So I turned around back to the restaurant, showed them the gross pizza due to their mistake, and I left it there. I had over 40 minutes of my day off ruined by the ignorance of the staff. I wont be back. Manager offered the grossly made pizza and stramboli for free, but my time is worth more, so I left them...
