Seriously....the best chilaquiles (besides my wife's) out there.
One...I saw a photo of their chilaquiles on Instagram and immediately it drew my attention...they look amazing just in the photo. So I convinced my wife to go...so first off the food LOOKS appetizing.
We had the chilaquiles, enchiladas, a few pupusas, pancakes, and a simple chorizo and eggs. Everything was spot on! Nice simple flavors...the pancakes taste homemade. The flour tortillas taste just like your mom made them. The enchiladas were the perfect combination of potatoes, crema, lettuce, salsa...they were great.
But the highlight are the chilaquiles..where do I start or where do I stop? They have a black bean base, with the tortillas...you can do green or red salsa, with cheese, chicken, chicharrón prensado, avocado, and eggs the way you want.
Loved it... loved it...the serving is huge to begin with. The sauce is evenly spread all throughout, you don't feel like it's just sauced on top of the tortilla chips. Every bite you can do a little of everything (tortillas, chicken, cheese)...or just do one at a time. I found myself scraping the bottom of the plate the meal was so delicious... I found myself savoring bites of chicharrón w/ black beans...or egg w/ avocado...or the tortilla chips with the salsa...all on one dish.
That being said...the food was amazing and the ambience matched it. Service is quick...it has more of a fast food feel which is amazing considering the quality of the food. And it's quite cheap! It's very affordable...
As I said earlier...where do I begin or where do I stop.

Read moreSummary: Chilaquiles too sweet, huge portions with alot of chips. High prices, the chicharon felt reheated and was unflavoraful. The fattyness of it combined with sweeet chilaquiles sauce was a bad combination. Small tortillas, they are extra.
Very fresh looking place. A hint of modernity with cultural objects like chickens and art. Definitely an interesting eye piece. I ordered chilaquiles with a water of Cucumber and lime. The cucumber lime water is not overly sweetened but also does not have much flavor, but very refreshing. At first taste the sauce is a little too sweet. The more you eat the more sweet it turns. Not bad. Just not awesome. Would like an indicator on spice levels. Portions are very big. I did not finish my dish. Tortillas are very small.
The actual chikales i got were reketes. They came with chicken in the middle. I did not know about the chicken until about 20 minutes (very big dish), it took me a while to eat enough to see it. There is alot of chicken though...
Read moreThe food is amazing. However the service is genuinely trash. The staff greets you with a bored expression and just expect you to begin the conversation yourself. The customer service is basically non existent. The food never arrives together, you always get one persons meal first and then the other minutes later which leaves the first persons food cold if you wait to eat together. Which if you’re going with another person it’s obviously to eat together. Common manners say, you wait to eat when their meal arrives. They put the food on paper with your table number written in marker. The food soaks all of that up and sometimes you end up with said paper in your mouth since it’s cheap quality. They allow vendors to come in and harass you into buying their stuff. Today the one that went in was persistent. The music they play is way too loud as well. Doesn’t seem very special needs friendly, it can be too...
