I actually ate at two Texas Roadhouse in about a weeks time. The one on the South end of town and tonight the north Roadhouse on Trenton and the expressway. I even ordered the exact same thing to compare them. The rattlesnake bites I liked them from both locations. The ribs were more tender at the Trenton location. The fries were much more crispy at the South location. The green beans were much better at the south store, the green beans on Trenton were swimming in water. The veggies at the south store were a bit more Tender than the hard carrots I experienced at the Trenton location. Finally the service, both locations failed to provide eating utensils or napkins when we needed them. But there is really no comparison, the service at the South location blew away the Trenton location. Plus, the manager at the South location stopped by to check on us, there must not have been a manager at the Trenton store based on the lack of service I experienced. Once we were seated at the Trenton location it took a long time for our server to show up, once we ordered our server brought our beverages then sat down for a while at a customer's table in front of us with his back to us. He got up to check on us but he already had let the food runners do all of his leg work for him,(not unusual at busy restaurants) but I had to ask the runner to bring me things I had already asked for when I ordered my meal. When we finished eating, I tried to wave at him to bring us our bill, no luck, he was sitting at that table again facing us but looking at his phone. Finally we got up to go pay our bill, and he didn't even notice us get up. We had to return to the table because cashier informed us the server has to take care of the check out.The cashier went to the table where he was sitting to get him so we could pay. Put it this way, I tipped the server at the South location $20 dollars for the exact same meal and tea. This guy I left way less. He could have gotten a much better tip because I know the business and I have waited on tables before and made my...
Read moreI had to wait to post because I was upset and wanted to rate the food and services separately but this doesn't allow for that. I came here once before and everything was cooked exactly as ordered. Steak, mashed potatoes, salad, fried mushrooms, and margaritas (sangria the first time, mango with chamoy this time). The restaurant is crowded and masks are in limited supply - but the food was good, so we decided to come back. Second time was not as good. A bus boy put a tray where it didn't belong and it fell on my back and wet my clothes with what I hope was clean water (yeah, right) in a crowded restaurant - I was so embarrassed. The seat was cleaned and there were apologizies by both the bus boy and manager, but I had to ask for napkins to clean my clothes. The manager disappeared after that and initially I was too upset to say anything to him. I wanted to leave but they hadn't even brought our food AND it was my anniversary dinner. The steak was over cooked - and the rest, I barely noticed because I kept thinking about that stupid tray - see what I mean? Hard to separate the food from the accident. To top it off, an older woman knocked over the ketchup when she stood up, landed right on my foot - the tables are really close to one another. Thankfully it didn't open when it fell. I don't know if I would have felt better had they offered me anything - comp the appetizer or my drink - but they didn't, the manager left and never returned. As of now, based on one good experience and one bad experience, this place rates an "ok". Probably...
Read moreOur recent visit to Texas Roadhouse was a disappointing experience, primarily due to the service provided by our server, Daisy. We arrived expecting the usual fast service and positive atmosphere that Texas Roadhouse is known for, but unfortunately, we encountered quite the opposite. From the start, Daisy took an unusually long time about 15 minutes just to bring us our drinks, and she forgot to provide straws, which meant additional waiting since she was rarely around our table. When it came to ordering an appetizer, we waited an astonishing 45-50 minutes before Daisy made her second appearance. Upon inquiring about our blooming onion, it became clear she had forgotten to place the order, offering the excuse that “another server took the blooming onion”. This seemed unlikely and left us feeling annoyed since we had already waited a long time. When the appetizer finally arrived, it was cold, despite our lengthy wait of over an hour. To add to the frustration, our main dishes were served just five minutes after the appetizer, disrupting the flow of our meal. The food itself was passable, but the lack of attention from Daisy throughout our visit was disheartening. We weren’t checked on even once during our meal. In the end, we left a minimal tip reflective of the poor service we received. Next time, I will specifically request not to have Daisy as our server. Texas Roadhouse usually offers excellent service, so I hope they address these issues to ensure a better experience for...
