Freddy's Taco Shack — Restaurant in Texas

Just left this taco place, heard lots of good things about it so I decided to try it. I ordered 25 tacos with and add on of beans and no cheese. Mind you I specifically do not consume cheese because I can’t process dairy properly, not because I don’t like cheese. As soon as I opened the first taco it had cheese…. Then the second one had cheese. I told my fiancé to go back and tell them that we specifically ordered tacos with no cheese and they told him that he was making a fuss for a few tacos that had cheese. Also bringing in unnecessary comments about my fiancé saying he forgot how to speak Spanish. Not once did they apologize about messing up the order. I understand things get busy and the food business is a fast pace environment. But when people specifically tell you that they don’t want something in their food there’s probably a reason behind it… this will be my first and last time at this restaurant. Ps. Update: there was tacos we didn't ask for and more cheese... Worst 82$ I've spent. Also, maybe work on not treating your own people like they are anything less than you. We support business like this because we support our own ppl but when it’s our own saying stupid comments to their own then that’s some self reflecting and self hate you...

The tacos are OKAY at best. They are conveniently on the side of the freeway and that's probably why it's popular. They are soooooo stingy with their beans, I'm talking about they apply as thin of a layer as a sheet of paper. I always need to ask for extra beans and even then, they barely put any. The people in the back also get mad if you ask for more. I kid you not, one morning I asked and three workers popped their head out and gave me ugly looks. I really don't know what the big deal is about the beans. The tortilla sometimes has a weird doughy texture like it's not fully cooked. Don't even get me started on ordering through the app, they don't offer beans (no surprise there') and they always get the order wrong. They will send you plain tacos with no toppings, no beans, and a lot of nasty yellow shredded cheese. Yuck. They don't read the special instructions portion either. The girl at the window is nice and so is the owner, everyone else gives major stink eye. Like I said, they are conveniently located with okay...

We recently went this morning, 7/13, before 930am and honestly I wasn't impressed. Going by the reviews I was expecting a real treat but instead disappointed. We order 3 breakfast tacos, half dz of tamales and 2 Mexican sodas. The breakfast tacos though hot were small and low on filling. I actually added more when when I got home. The tamales although hot and a decent size had next to NO flavor. I had to generously add salt for flavor. Next to no red sauce either. They also crumbled badly when handled. The sodas were also lukewarm, a major letdown being I was so thirsty. I come from a border town so maybe Im a bit biased but I know quality, authentic mexican food and it just wasn't here. I will give 5 stars for the service and atmosphere. We were promptly helped with a friendly face and attitude and the atmosphere was uplifting. Very glad we went inside as it was less then the wait had we chose the drive thru. Im on the fence about whether to try a 2nd time because our bill...
