Golden Chick — Restaurant in Texas

Came by to this Golden Chick 03/18/2022 in the Remmington Ranch subdivision off of 45 around 1:00pm and I must say my personal experience was awesome. The food is always good and always has been but what stood out the most to me today that really didn't matter if my orders were wrong was the service. To me, the service has to be good in order for my food to be good. If the service is bad, usually a customer would be mad and their appetite spoils. Well, today me and my family came by and upon ordering through the drive-thru a male employee began taking our order. What really stood out about this employee was his patience his manners his professionalism and just the way he was being extremely respectful. This young man really takes his job seriously and enjoys making customers satisfied. Once we reached the window to pay, this employee was a very tall young black man with a gold chain. I made the huge mistake of not getting his name. This employee was an amazing person and had the best customer skills ever. I would just like to say thank you for great service. Thank you for such amazing service and for being so respectful and full of joy. I highly recommend this location for their delicious fresh cooked fried chicken and for amazing service. I just feel that sometimes reviews should not only be about food and I apologize for not describing the food and its quality and portion sizes etc...I just felt this employee needed to be recognized for his great attitude and amazing...

Went through drive thru on 9/23/21 at 2:04 pm I order 3pcs fish combo with fries 2 extras rolls and a side of Mac and cheese with a brisk strawberry melon drink I pulled to the window paid for my order received my drink waited 5 mins to be asked to pull forward because they were cooking fresh fish ok sure no problem I waited another ten minutes after pulling forward received my food the fish was freshly cooked but the size of the fish was a chicken tender size The fries was what really made me mad because they were not fresh at all and who gives fresh fish but old fries so I park and go inside and a rudely cashier tells me that everything was made fresh I pulled out the fries and ask her to feel the fries she rolls her eyes and turns and says give her 3 minutes she goes toward the back talking on her headpiece to another employee the “cook” saying ugh give me a fry I hear her but I didn’t respond because it’s not worth it just give me my fresh fries and I want ever come back to this location again just sad I was on my lunch break I didn’t have time to go back and forward about the order and I was hungry. I first tried them in other cities, and I love their food. Houston is a new market for them, but it's different because in Houston, they didn't get the memo that the food needs to be served hot. I ordered 6pc Wicked wings (I've always been told they are cooked to order) well these had been sitting under a heat lamp way too long. I also ordered Chicken strips, spicy of course, with okra. Nothing was fresh. Okra wash chewy, with hard edges and some of it was crunchy like chicken and the breading completely came off. I was hungry, so I ate the dry wings and 1 of the strips, but I wasn't happy. Their rolls are really good, and the 2 I got were at least warm, so all was not lost. I think additional training on how long food should sit is needed. I know now to specifically request "fresh cooked". On a brighter side, the front counter cashier was very friendly, smiled and had a good demeanor. She was well trained on the menu and was patient with us.
