Golden Chick — Restaurant in Texas

Absolutely the worst pick up service I have ever had. Made an order online through their website. It clearly had curbside service available as I had to put my vehicle description in. I chose this because I am disabled and walking hurts, plus it was a sizable order for my family of 4.

When I arrived I parked in the he spot clearly marked for curbside parking I called to let them know and a very pleasant young lady said she would be right out.

This is where they get the one star. She did come right out to tell me that the manager wanted me to come inside to verify the order. I explained to her that walking was difficult for me, thats why I chose curbside, and I had already paid in full. She apologized, said she understood and had worked at several golden chicks, and none of them ever requested that, but she would help me bring the order back to the car.

I went inside where the manager immediately took an attitude. He literally shoved a receipt across the counter and wanted to know if I made the order. I took it, it looked like my order and he said fine. The nice girl who promised to help me was politely putting my order in bags and the manager told her to stop helping and go away.

I told the manager that I had a disability that made walking hard and it was very difficult to come in and verify something, he rudely cut me off and said his store only does curbside for uber. I told him that this was not what the sign in the parking lot said, nor was it mentioned on their website and he said he didn't care, you have to come in, thats his policy.

Realizing anymore debate was only going to make me look like I was the problem, I breathed deep and let it go.

He shoved the bags of food at me, I left with no offer of help.

This location consistently under-seasons the spicy chicken tenders. One side of the tender will have barely any spicy seasoning, and the other side is completely naked and bland, like they could even be bothered to thoroughly season it. I do like Golden Chick and I come to this store regularly and just know to ask for extra Spicy Zing packets for my chicken so I can season it myself. Tonight was such a letdown. I came through 30 minutes before close, and as a fellow fast-food service worker I understand that can be really annoying, but after getting off of my own shift I was really hungry and nowhere else sounded appealing to me. Guy at the order-box/window was so rude. He kept interrupting me and rushing me through my order. He didn’t say a word to me or even greet me when I got to the window, just stared at me with his hand held out for my card. Kept giving me fake half-smiles like he was annoyed I was even there. I was very respectful and again, understanding that it was almost closing time for them, but I got treated like I was the a-hole for even bothering to come through. I feel like the treatment I received was so sad. Worst service by far tonight, and they didn’t give me the extra gravy OR the extra spicy packets for my chicken. This is what my chicken looks like. I went to Golden Chick yesterday the staff was very friendly and when I walked in I was greeted promptly. Took my order with no issues and told me it would ten minutes. So as I am waiting the lady who is putting the orders together she starts sneezing! Right in the open of the food waiving her hands in front of her face trying to get the mist away from her. Then starts packing up food and does it again by the third time she is turning her head to where the guy is prepping food to get cooked. Then she starts wiping her nose with her hands like if she wipes the snot off with her gloves it will be fine to keep bagging the food like because she has on gloves!!ALL THE EMPLOYEES STOOD AROUND AND JUST WATCHED LIKE IT WASNT A PROBLEM!
